Kung Jin's an ex-thief and trusts people of lower status as sources more, so he will be inclined to take to the commoner's district, both searching around and speaking to either the children or the old merchant woman. ICly he'd be more inclined to taking ex-ALASTAIR members with him, but OOCly i love conflict please bully him into dragging you along lmfao

backstory plotting??? sooo i originally had the idea of clarice posing as a noblewoman's handmaiden, so that she would be able to have access to all kinds of areas, given that her powers work best (read: properly) when she has an actual idea of the places she intends to portal to. BUT since they're meant to be visiting foreigners, i'm dithering on that a little... i also had the idea maybe she could part of some kind of traveling entertainment troupe (throwback to olivia eeey) and be a fortune teller or something?! pretend her portals show ~insights into the person's mind~ as opposed to like. the outside. :U;; but i also think the idea of her having to act like some kind of noble or important lady with a handful of male attendants is hilarious...

that said i'd love to do some bounties if anyone would like to pair or group up! with regards to the ambush, clarice will be focused on helping the civilians as opposed to helping the guards, and if she actually sees the guards be a little too violent, she might jump in and interfere... not to say she'd be helping the sea clan ladies, either, but basically if anyone's getting violent, she'll be inclined to try and put a stop to it. (which may include your character?? :O) if things get dicey enough, she may resort to using her portals.

I was kinda leaning towards the noble district myself. Jason's used to having to placate people in power and knows a thing or two about status (though Western tradition is probably going to be VERY different, so it might not get him far). Plus being a Negotiator might help get him an "in" or at least help get them around a bit?

Gio's prooobably gonna go with noblewoman's aid/assistant in terms of his back story, so I'd really like to check out any of the noble district threads if anyone wants to group up! Particularly the guards or guy on his own, maybe!

ALSO in terms of the ambush he will of course try to help the guards and Giovanni can be a bit trigger happy so I would love for one of his teammates to help rein him in a bit, convince him to capture not kill!

Kylo is going to zoom in on the noble's district because that's the kind of asshole he is, so he will need one or more lady escorts -- preferably one who will prevent him from making a scene when he gets funny looks. He's decent at following directions once he's put in his place, so if you are up to the task, please assist.

Alternatively, if any lady nobles just want to be shadowed by a huge dude, he is good at that too.

He would also really like to go ogre hunting in the Flowerlands, but is lacking more modern day weapons to measure up to that task and will instead be happy to play bait.

Some thoughts/brainstorming...

If they can't get to the castle, Jason figures the next best thing is going to be working down the totem pole in order to work up it (ie smooze the nobles). He thinks he understands how to do that, so as long as he could get a noble disguise and a lady friend he'd be golden. Being a negotiator might help and although his understanding of politics/hierarchy is Western he figures it can't be TOO different. Jason would probably feel most comfortable trying to chat up a guard or two OR approaching the young, slim man. Hey dude, he understands being away from your significant other...bonding conversation?

Or, I also noticed we need negotiators at the Flowerlands...so if someone asked Jason to go there instead he wouldn't put up a fight.

As for the Ambush--Jason's going to be trying to protect/help as many people as he can. Might involve fighting/disarming opponents or might not. But if you're interested in that I do love a good action/fight thread. And I don't see Jason going down ogre hunting just yet.

Otherwise, I'm game for some bounties. I've always liked the idea of Jason being around birds (given his parentage)...but the tea one also sounds fun cause we might fight bandits!

Being from Japan and also from an organization that values the oldschool, Majima would be happy to help other characters find the good stuff, whether that's food or clothing. He can also help with how the heck you're actually supposed to put on a kimono, and I'd be delighted to have him play attendant to a female team member.

SO, i'm kind of considering having Simon be some kind of merchant or something for his backstory?? gotta disguise that superfluous oxygen tank somehow. Ok look I don't know he's probably just gonna tie a tarp around it and bundle up real good.

He's gonna be inclined to go for the commoner's district first, talking to the merchant lady and the couple and also searching the area like the dickens and hoping to god he finds some kind of mask. He'll definitely be taking the role of trying to get civilians out of danger in the ambush but he doesn't know how to fight so. Depending on how much of a risk-taker you've got, Simon's aware that the noble district is probably where the goods are at in terms of political information but really isn't expecting that to pan out (in his defense, you sort of have to look at him at the right angle to see the glowy robot eyes clearly. ITS FINE.) You can't be sure he's not a lady as long as he stays quiet but he wouldn't necessarily be super enthusiastic about that idea....

Maybe you need a spooky sentinel robot hobo in your party in one of these or any other scenario and you didn't even know it. Imagine. If you have any other ideas please do drop me a line at honchkrow!!

i'm gonna toss up some general prompts, but inuyasha likely won't make it into the nobility district unless someone wants to take his stupid ass. he doesn't have a single noble bone in his body tbqh and he'd be disgruntled about wearing a disguise b/c that's STUPID JUST LET HIM IN!! luckily, he at least has passable warrior/commoner clothes so he's not sticking out like a complete sore thumb

inuyasha does have access to super hearing and super smelling, tho, so if you think you need someone who can track something/someone, bully him into helping. oh, and he can carry a lot and jump really high??? make him a pack mule

at the ambush, he's going to be making sure people are ok, but also trying to capture/harass any attackers for information??? i'll do a prompt for it, so if you wanna help make a citizen's arrest, watch out for my post

Uhhh! I'm kind of jumping in on some of the threads posted here. And as a spirit on this planet-- I'm going with some of the native humans might see him, some of them might not. So it's still risky for him and he can't just sneak around all over the place. I kind of want someone who can see him to maybe recommend a female disguise for him cause he does look kind of like one...

During the ambush, he'll be trying to take care of the burning stalls with his water spells. Even if he's invisible to most, his magic is visible! If you want some support from a spirit, he'll be there. He'll also be trying to heal the humans that are able to perceive his presence, as well as during the morning after the ambush.

Exploration-- I think he's best to be tagging alone (or stalking as a spirit i guess lkjfds) I was considering on having him help out in the Flowerlands with the young huntress for the ogre or...! Try to sneakily eavesdrop on conversations in Commoner's District while looking over some cool wares.

I'M ALSO INTERESTED IN BOUNTIES. HMU if anyone wants to do one together?!

Veronica will be hitting up the commoner's area, as well as hitting the festival and being suitably freaked out afterward. Being in the middle of a riot where people died will freak her out a bit, and she'll be rather impatient with the sea people. All of her objectivity will be on the backburner at first, though I intend to have her come around.

Bountywise—I intend to have her do the Brew Can Do It bounty. I'll have an open prompt dedicated to that!

Keith will be going to the Flowerlands for ogre business at first (and because it's peaceful and quiet out there). Later on, he'll be at the festival fussed about being in the city, and he'll partake in fighting and "stopping people from getting away." The reality is, however, Keith intends to capture some of the assailants only to ask them questions and then release them.

He'll be trying to figure out the way into the summit idly, but that's not much of a starter other than "Keith looks up impatiently because he wants to just go." Because Keith.

bellamy is chilling out around the commoner's district primarily to get some intel and to also get some lower quality fabrics in the trademark bellamy blue. he may also try to help out there since his mom was a seamstress and i assume he would've assisted her in her numerous jobs. and i'd also like to get him involved in the ambush, because bellamy sucks at not helping people and beating some people up. he is a bruiser, so i'm super keen to get him paired up with anyone who is also a bruiser or of another department!

i'm thinking of getting him involved in nice rice because he needs some niceness in his life, and i'd also love to get him involved in the imps. lmk if you're into doing one of the bounties and we can hook each other up! if you need a pretty dude who broods a lot and needs a haircut, bellamy is your guy.

lucina's going to feel most comfortable if she stick with anyone who wants to do some snooping around, and make sure a) if they're male they're not getting asked too many questions b) if they're female they're not getting... asked too many questions... so basically she'll be the most helpful escort ever. i went ahead and picked up some nobility clothes for her so she can do that, but the market or the commoner's district also works!!

during the ambush i've made her largely useless but i'm also down to have her do some rescuing!! let her use her cool sentinel new powers, ophelia >:C

OKAY SO priority things for Zari:

Food.

Picking up a blending in disguise.

Getting a feel for the people.

Saving people during the festival ambush.

I haven't decided on bounties yet, but Zari intends to pass herself off as a noble for the festival, so she will need a posse. If anyone else wants to join her as part of her advisors and/or family. She will be all about the lady companions but she's not above saying a dude is with her if they need it.

Also, since Legends never do anything halfway, she will be throwing herself into things at the ambush to try and save people. She will be trying to capture intruders and put out fires, hopefully because the more she makes herself valuable, the more like the Empress will want to talk to her after. >.> So she won't be consciously planning ahead, but she's not above being opportunistic.

She also will want to interrogate the alleged sea empire invaders, but that comes later also so not particularly relevant!

So let me know if any of this interests you, and I may add to this later in subcomments, depending.

nothing specific aside from some five-finger discounts and some creative sneaking! thus, she'll be around the merchant's district and maaaaaybe the noble's district if she can illusion up some clothing (permission pending here) for snooping and gossiping purposes.

she's going to head off with daenerys and akira to speak to doro in the flowerlands.

other than that she'll be kicking it back at the festival until the ambush, and then stepping back and probably skeevily helping people.

Luke will be trying to see all the places and all the people to learn all the things so lady escorts would be nice. (I think Dany, Arya, Hayame and Lorna may all have been options discussed previously, but nothing’s set in stone and really I just want him to hang with everyone.) I especially want him to try to get to the noble’s district so bonus points if any women want to take him there. And why wouldn’t you? After all, there’s nothing funnier than a farmboy doing his darnedest to be fancy.

When the ambush happens he will probably be focused on immediately helping those around him, maybe trying to go after an ambusher, but hopefully not because no one needs for him to suddenly be that one guy with the glowing magic sword.

Bounty-wise: Ogre fighting seems a bit full and also Kylo’s there so he’ll be giving that one a miss, but if anyone else is assembling a group for a bounty he’s down.

If anyone’s got any ideas for stuff and would like a baby Jedi, hit me up.

I'm thinking that Tommy would probably be best suited either for the noble district or the Flowerlands, given his spec as a negotiator. I think as far as the noble district is concerned, he would see the guards as being potentially better people to talk to since they're not necessarily too high up on the totem pole, but he'd be down for engaging the young man on his own. As for the Flowerlands, Doro or the old man seem like they'd be good choices, but Tommy would probably be more keen on Doro.

If you just wanna hang though, Tommy will be at the spring festival. During the ambush, Tommy could but won't be helping with subduing the ambushers. In fact, more than anything else, he'll probably be observing the conflict from a reasonably safe distance/somewhere concealed. The morning after, he will likely make more direct efforts to clean up the mess to try and get a better read on the situation and ingratiate himself.

Bounty-wise, I'm down for any of the main bounties, but not so much the special bounties this time around. In particular, let's get sloshed on sake or tracking down those boxes of tea! :]b
