EVENT PLOTTING: ROLLING 'ROUND THE BEND

WELCOME TO JAIL After the heist, all characters will find themselves trapped in Asterion Prison, a correctional facility housed in a large spaceship. The correctional officers are mainly non-humanoid aliens, and the other inmates run the gamut from alien to humanoid. There are also robot guards that the officers use as muscle. While characters' powers remain intact, the prison itself is immune to any damage, be it magical, physical, or otherwise. Similarly, the correctional officers are somehow unable to be harmed, and their robot guards are apparently sophisticated hard light holograms, any unwanted contact simply phasing through their bodies. Of course, inmates may still harm each other; though the correctional officers have confiscated all weaponry in attempts to mitigate this, makeshift weapons aren't unheard of. The prison blocks all outgoing frequencies, so contacting anyone outside the prison is impossible. There will be no backup for Audentes, so you'd better work with each other to escape. LOCATIONS Block 26 is the cellblock where Audentes is being held. It is six tiers of cells situated in a circle around a main recreational area. The guard tower sits in the middle. Each cell has two beds and cellmates are assigned by gender. Along with Audentes, Block 26 has many different inmates from different worlds and of different species, including your friend George and a stern, blue-skinned woman. George is highly suspicious of her, and he will point out her gold and white watch to any fellow ALASTAIR who ask. The recreational area in the middle of Block 26 is open for 18 hours, then closed for five during "lights out" time. There are tables, books, and exercise weights, but beyond that, not much "recreation" actually goes on here. The chow hall is where inmates are directed twice a day for their meals. They are required to be there in the morning for roll call, but may skip their second meal if they wish. The requisitions booth is where inmates may buy goods -- provided they have the cash for it. The Qorral running the booth is a fellow inmate named Cecily Forestock, in prison awaiting her own trial for illegal poaching. She is quite bubbly and happy to answer any questions characters may have about the prison. DEATH COUNT Every inmate has a glowing blue symbol on their forehead that corresponds to how many murders they have committed. Please note that only murder of sapient beings are tallied -- so any animals or monsters of subhuman intelligence that your character may have killed don't count. If your character has not committed a murder, they will have a "0" on their forehead instead. Regarding indirect murders, the rule of thumb is that your character's actions were directly responsible for a death. In other words, killing a monster that then fell on bystanders and killed them would count. However, failing to prevent someone else from committing a murder does not count. If you're still unsure, you can ask us for help! This means that AC bank rewards will not come from ALASTAIR until contact is resumed (you may continue to submit coins and purchase things that come from Cecily instead), and all drops will involve those characters being moved to a different cell block for the time being. If your character would like to speak to Cecily or George, please let us know here and we will handwave the conversation with you. Conversation with the suspicious blue-skinned woman has been decided by plot slot and she is otherwise unavailable. Unsurprisingly, Koltira is in the M FOR MURDERER club. He will be extremely unhappy to be so confined, so surrounded by living & breathing bodies--especially since it's been about seven months since he last did significant harm to another person. As such, he's gonna lose it a little bit, especially during the riot. HOLD HIM BACK ... and then run away.

McCree has a somewhat milder HH symbol; between gang life, special ops, and bounty hunting, I figure he's racked up a pretty robust number of takedowns--particularly if you include hostile omnics (which I did, bc they are sentient). He'll find the whole thing funny, if frustrating ... he managed to avoid jail his whole life, get himself right, and now suddenly here he is. Reminiscing about his grubby gang past is likely. Riot wise, he'll be trying to defuse things with some well-placed flashbombs ... try not to get caught in the blast!!

Scott will be focusing on keeping people safe for the most part. When it comes to not knowing what to do, his default actions are to look out for everyone until someone else (see: Stiles) comes up with a plan. That's likely where he's going to be focusing.

During the riot, Scott will be doing everything in his powers to calm people down. There will likely be a moment in which he roars in general, and then toward some specific individuals if it comes to that (animal-type people and if Scott can sense that in them and if you're interested). Otherwise, he will be the type trying to get people to safety.

Keith on the other hand is going to be a man on a really futile mission, so if anyone wants to join him on that, I'm game. His number one goal will be to hijack the ship, or ships that can come to the ship, or whatever, though most of his information will be nonexistent. Whatever. He can do it. Probably.

This will culminate in him trying to use the riot as a chance to escape. If anyone else wants in on this, it will get people put in solitary (as that's definitely where Keith will be ending up). I'm game for Keith's impulsiveness being fed in to or worked with by other people and all of them getting into a lot more trouble as a result. I think it'd be fun.

Ninurrta's going to be caught somewhere between hiding and owning up to his ΔΔΔ because he's Responsible and Prideful all at the same time. It's a Rough Time back home in his canon, there's a lot of people dying and being executed and/or put out of their misery, but he really has no excuse.

He still has access to his magic, so when the riot goes down, you can bet he'll be in the thick of things with offensive magic and defensive barriers. Maybe partially transforming into a dragon, depending on how bad things get. 8,) If you need some battle-help, lmk...

Until then, it's looking like he's going to be across-the-hall neighbors with Eight + Lance??? and roomies with Kagari. And he will be focusing his efforts on re-arming Audentes, probably. MY PLANS ARE UP IN THE AIR.

Feferi will be doing her best to try and cheer up the rest of the team. Even though this really kind of sucks! She doesn't have much in the way of resources, but she might try to bring them small tokens or just be a shoulder to cry on or a fin to listen. She'll also be feeling a little bit guilty. During the riot, she'll be trying to get Audentes members out of the fray safely! So if anyone needs an airlift...

Undyne will, in fact, be getting swole. No surprise there. She's also pretty peeved at this whole stupid heist thing and she knew she didn't participate for a reason!! But she's still going to get caught up in the riot, mostly in defense of those who have no interest in being in the middle of it.

Sakura has participated in......every mission since game start but still has a zero, since she herself has never actually killed. Just usually focused on helping heal injured or restrain opponents to allow others to attack sort of deal. And nobody would be surprised.

But ah, while she might initially freak a bit, and be very confused, she won't be violent or anything about it. Even with the riots. If anyone needs healing she can help with that. idk if the guards or whoever would have actually taken her cards away or not since they basically just look like odd tarot cards. And her staff has a necklace disguise so there is also that. I guess if she gets in trouble she can use the whistle Graham gave her unless they take that away. Sakura herself doesn't have any obvious weapons though.

As a participant in several wars, and known infamously as one of Rubrum's red demons, Eight's kill count is pretty high. He'll be living the Vin Diesel life with XXX right there on his forehead. Apparently having a number in his name just doesn't save him from Roman numerals. Because his kill count is the direct result of defending his homeland he's not one of those people who is inclined to hide it out of shame. Rather, he'll simply own the reality of his actions, as he always does.

Despite the jarring nature of the situation, Eight will be strangely calm and chill about all this. It's not his first time being captured obviously, but being imprisoned in space is a chocobo of another color entirely. He's got Lance for a roommate and Ninu for a neighbor, so his stay won't be dull at least...

If anyone needs a steadfast source of calm, this guy's always up for it. He'll also be sizing up any opportunities to get the heck out of here.

OK Fiona has a respectable ΔΔ (20something deaths) under her belt, having grown up in the hellscape that is Pandora and also she's killed some guys on mission and stuff. She's not at all bothered by her count and is kind of curious about others' so she might ask about Cool Murder Stories or something if anyone's up for that.

During the riot, she might slink away or get involved, it all really depends on who else is around. She'll be available to help any weaker folks who get caught up in it, or alternately if someone wants to drag her away from her natural state of brawling, we can do that too.

She is really, really invested in getting their possessions back.

ALRIGHT Since Overwatch canon is super vague and Widowmaker has been touted as Talon's top Assassin and has been active for about five years in her world (plus the few people she's taken out on missions with ALASTAIR) she has an H on her forehead. (Of which she will not be ashamed one bit).

HOWEVER, since they're in a prison in space she's not going to be 100% calm either. While it won't look like anything is going on on the surface, she'll probably be struggling with a lot of flashbacks and things to when she was held captive by Talon...before she became who she is now.

During the Riot however, she'll be making herself scarce at the first moment she gets because she's not one to pick fights she can't win.

Graham has spent a lot of his life in a metaphorical cage, so being in a literal one will sort of make him regress a little to the place he used to be. He will be more distant than usual. That said he will be willing to participate in attempts to get out, though he will stress caution. dying to get out is no more free than being jailed to begin with.

Hanzo is sporting an ΗΗ seeing as how he's ex-yakuza and an assassin, and is sour about this entire thing. He'll probably end up in a few fights with other inmates due to his piss poor temper. If you wanna get in a fight with him or help him chill the heck out, I'm down.

Asher will be sporting a Π on his forehead, and his behavior will change as time passes! At first he's going to be doing his best to keep a low profile, as he doesn't want the team to found out that he is responsible for not one but two "civilian" deaths. He's been doing his best to keep from having his kill count exposed, so if you're up for some murder backstory hit me up.

He has reason to be suspicious of Leramzen's justice system, so in addition to searching for an escape he will be doing his best to collude with other inmates or dig for information regarding the diamond's whereabouts from the guards. That too! He will be down to comfort people who are having a hard time or just shoot the shit with other people who sort of knew this was coming, so let me know!

He is rooming with Sigma, but will be doing his best to weasel out of this situation and also make sure his close CR is doing okay.

WAY TO BE RUDE ABOUT SPILLING THE MURDER DEETS, SPACE JAIL

Anyway, as a professional hitman, Fugo's got a big ol' worrying ΔΔΔ on his head because he's done.......... quite a few murders. And isn't really "just" an accountant. Haha! But on the plus side, he is finally going to be less evasive about mafia stuff. And also Stand stuff! Although he's less likely to talk about his Stand with people he doesn't know at all. He is notably not all that guilty about the murders themselves and is more annoyed by how the information is now public.

He's going to be rooming with Peter and collectively they are going to be sleeping very little, probably. There might come a breakfast/roll call where he dozes off at the table, whoops. But for the most part he is going to be lying low (Very Grumpily) and try to gather information (about the trial, where they are, and what the hell is even going on) because, as someone who is Not A Fan of closed spaces, he seriously does not want to get thrown into solitary confinement. he's going to be trying very, very hard to keep his temper.
