EVENT PLOTTING: ROLLING 'ROUND THE BEND

WELCOME TO JAIL After the heist, all characters will find themselves trapped in Asterion Prison, a correctional facility housed in a large spaceship. The correctional officers are mainly non-humanoid aliens, and the other inmates run the gamut from alien to humanoid. There are also robot guards that the officers use as muscle. While characters' powers remain intact, the prison itself is immune to any damage, be it magical, physical, or otherwise. Similarly, the correctional officers are somehow unable to be harmed, and their robot guards are apparently sophisticated hard light holograms, any unwanted contact simply phasing through their bodies. Of course, inmates may still harm each other; though the correctional officers have confiscated all weaponry in attempts to mitigate this, makeshift weapons aren't unheard of. The prison blocks all outgoing frequencies, so contacting anyone outside the prison is impossible. There will be no backup for Audentes, so you'd better work with each other to escape. LOCATIONS Block 26 is the cellblock where Audentes is being held. It is six tiers of cells situated in a circle around a main recreational area. The guard tower sits in the middle. Each cell has two beds and cellmates are assigned by gender. Along with Audentes, Block 26 has many different inmates from different worlds and of different species, including your friend George and a stern, blue-skinned woman. George is highly suspicious of her, and he will point out her gold and white watch to any fellow ALASTAIR who ask. The recreational area in the middle of Block 26 is open for 18 hours, then closed for five during "lights out" time. There are tables, books, and exercise weights, but beyond that, not much "recreation" actually goes on here. The chow hall is where inmates are directed twice a day for their meals. They are required to be there in the morning for roll call, but may skip their second meal if they wish. The requisitions booth is where inmates may buy goods -- provided they have the cash for it. The Qorral running the booth is a fellow inmate named Cecily Forestock, in prison awaiting her own trial for illegal poaching. She is quite bubbly and happy to answer any questions characters may have about the prison. DEATH COUNT Every inmate has a glowing blue symbol on their forehead that corresponds to how many murders they have committed. Please note that only murder of sapient beings are tallied -- so any animals or monsters of subhuman intelligence that your character may have killed don't count. If your character has not committed a murder, they will have a "0" on their forehead instead. Regarding indirect murders, the rule of thumb is that your character's actions were directly responsible for a death. In other words, killing a monster that then fell on bystanders and killed them would count. However, failing to prevent someone else from committing a murder does not count. If you're still unsure, you can ask us for help! Due to Audentes now being effectively cut off from the outside, they will be unable to contact anyone on their magitek except for their own team. This means that AC bank rewards will not come from ALASTAIR until contact is resumed (you may continue to submit coins and purchase things that come from Cecily instead), and all drops will involve those characters being moved to a different cell block for the time being. If your character would like to speak to Cecily or George, please let us know here and we will handwave the conversation with you. Conversation with the suspicious blue-skinned woman has been decided by plot slot and she is otherwise unavailable. Questions about the game in general should be directed to the FAQ and you may submit mission ideas or player plots at any time.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the mods (because Undertale is a dumb game and kill counts have a sort of Schroedinger's cat vibe), but barring some special snowflake symbol that could mean either 0 or M, I will be going with M. To account for a bajillion timelines where Sans cared enough to wreck shop and didn't have pesky protection oaths keeping the blood off his hands. The good ol' days, y'know?

AND WELL, considering how very anti-murder he is as a rule, that might come as a surprise to people! HYPOCRISY IS FUN.

Damian is 10 years old and is going to have the ΔΔΔ symbol and will absolutely be 100% uninterested in explaining himself to pretty much anyone. That being said, I would love for anyone to come ask anyway. He's brand new and I am open to any and all plotting, though he's already got a roommate set up!

And if anyone wants to push too hard he will literally fight them and I would love it. Anyone willing to fight a 10 year old anyway.

Other than that he's going to be focused on doing everything he can to escape!

Emma has been in prison before, and this brings up all kinds of bad memories for her. Her symbol will be a | and she probably wouldn't have any issue with explaining how that happened (she kinda killed Maleficent in dragon form). I'd like her to have an Audentes roommate (if anyone is interested), and she'll probably be uncharacteristically quiet and depressed during the hours she's stuck in her cell. She won't be any better outside of it, but she'll doing her savior thing and looking to protect her teammates wherever she can.

During the riot, she'll be looking to protect anyone caught in the middle of it and to try to calm down people she could reasonably help there. I'm open for all kinds of things with Emma, so let me know what you need her for.

I've crashed and burned all mission but I'm hella back for this.

Waving my hands vaguely but wildly at multiple timeline future past nonsense, Sigma's got a big ol' ΔΔΔ on his forehead. Future him did some shit he's not proud of in his... future present-now-past... Something something Zero Escape. Point is, once he figures out what it means he's gonna be pretty upset and confused. If he sits down and thinks about it long enough he could probably reason out what got the number, so that's why we're not gonna sit down and think about it!!!!

(Someone should sit down and think about it with him.)

Also being trapped in space doesn't sit well with him either, so he's probably going to be pretty antsy, and definitely down to poke around for information/security weak points/discuss conspiracies/stay right on that sweet edge of getting thrown in solitary for being annoying. Anything to stay busy because like hell he's resigning himself to murder space jail again.

During the riot, he's just gonna focus on breaking things up where he can, and getting people out of the way/being a meat shield, since he can heal himself moderately now. And he's cellmates with Asher. #fratcell

giorno is deeply annoyed by this diversion but otherwise . . . going to be shockingly calm about the whole thing. he's definitely not afraid, and he knows how to behave in prison well enough that he's actually going to lay low for once in his life. the plan is: wait for an opportunity and assert himself just enough in the meantime to make it clear he's not an easy target. the ΔΔΔ on his forehead will probably help with that. (it's a rough estimate but honestly with onscreen deaths + deaths he would have directly ordered while cleaning house in the six months of his reign in passione it's. probably a little low, lol.)

other things: he's going to be cellmates with stiles, and he will be making weapons whenever he has the opportunity to do so, with whatever he finds that he can sharpen. i will be putting up a starter on the log for that as well so if anyone has a character who needs a weapon for any reason giorno will be offering them! he's also going to be keeping a sharp eye out for anyone from audentes who seems in danger or out of their depth, or anyone who's trying to be (as kagari so charmingly put it) an action hero. Don't Fucking Die, You Guys.

So Odinson is going to have a fancy M on his head, because that's what happens when you're a god who fights things for thousands of years.

During the riot he'll start off protecting people and getting people out of the way of the heavy hitters (so if you need a rescue, he can be your man) but eventually someone's going to make a comment that he'll react badly to, and he'll join in the fighting and punching and end up in solitary. /applause

Jhin's going to be unusually calm for someone that's just been thrown in a prison, though he's really seething. He just got out of prison! For the most part he's going to be very well behaved, since he's done this song and dance before. If he gets prodded too much by other inmates he might snap and get into a fight if anyone wants to stop him, or laugh as he gets thrown into solitary.

He's sporting a fancy ΗΗ. Should anyone want to be cellmates with him, he swears it's totally for I'm not a serial killer reasons.

Sasuke is going to be mopey mostly. He was just out of jail when he arrived in Woodhurst, so being in jail again after experiencing such amazing and dangerous freedom? Not fun. He's sporting a nice and bright HH on his forehead, that's mostly covered by his handy dandy bangs, so unless he shows you, you probably won't see them clearly.

He's going to stay away from the fighting in the raid, not really caring for anyone but Naruto himself; he spent way too long in dark, solitary confinement to go back to that voluntarily. No, thank you.

He's rooming with Sai during his stay in cool space jail.

So yeah, if anyone wants a brooding teenager to talk to while in jail, here's your boy!

Otherwise, she's also going to be unhappy about the whole prison situation, but will mostly deal with it pretty well. She's good at behaving herself while imprisoned in awful places. During the riot she's just going to hang back and try to avoid any fighting because she'd be completely useless at it. If someone wants to help her keep safe that'd be cool!

She's also in need of a roomie, so I'd love some of that sweet sweet cr if anyone's interested!

Lucy/Nyuu

Lucy/Nyuu has a nice big XX. Her true murder count is unknown in canon, but it's estimated to be at least 1000. Add that to those she's killed while under ALASTAIR's service and you've got a number over 1000. However, Lucy was the one responsible for all those murders, not Nyuu--who will be awake for this event.

Nyuu will be traumatized and, depending on the mod's answer to my question, will be at a complete loss as to what's been happening. But if she's allowed to keep her notes from Lucy, then she'll be slightly more informed. She'll spend the first few moments crying in her cell. For the riot, she'll be taking cover under a table or something, trying not to get crushed. She'll also be depressed about the symbol on her forehead once she learns what it means. Even though the kills were Lucy's doing, Nyuu will still put some of the blame on herself.

Unlike the last log, I will be top-leveling this time. Wildcards and closed threads are welcome, though I will also have some OTA prompts! Heads up that I will be traveling on the 19th and will be out of town for two weeks, but I'm bringing my laptop and will have access to wifi.

Unable to tag until I get home next weekend (23rd...) but here is a brief plotting post anyway!! Aqua's been marked ΔΔΔ entirely because of ALASTAIR missions for the past 1.5 years... (Soldiers, deemers, aliens, zombies, etc...) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Even if she tries to avoid killing people she's still usually in the front lines of battle, and prioritizes the safety of her teammates. So, she's not happy with it per se but she's accepted it for the most part.

Since she's magically tethered to her weapon (or vice versa) she will be trying to figure out where her keyblade (and the other confiscated arms) are located in relation to their assigned block. (Also this is not her first time wandering a spaceship, thanks KH-Stitchworld.)

She'll have limited magic without her keyblade (I think?????) so she won't be able to do too much fighting on her own during the brawl, but can offer minor healing + elemental backup (?????). Mostly she will be trying to pull people out of danger/trouble, IF SHE GETS THROWN INTO SOLITARY CONFINEMENT BC SHE WAS TRYING TO HELP A BROSIS/RECRUIT THAT WOULD MAKE MY DAY JUST SAYIN' laughs at her canon.

daenerys (HH)

Secretive Daenerys dodged a huge bullet in having the true extent of her fuck-ups revealed to Audentes, because her indirect murders easily catapult her into M status. As it is, her direct murders place her at a lofty HH. Her massacre of 163 slavers in one city alone puts her into this category, an act about which she has ... probably grown increasingly more defiant. What she actually feels remorse about isn't included on her forehead.

She won't be stomping around and inviting punishment for herself, but in actuality, she's observant and extremely angry. She's certain that this imprisonment is on some bullshit pretext, because if conspiracy to commit grand theft were the true reason for arrest, the Leramzen...ese should have been arrested for the original theft in the first place. She's additionally suspicious that Zymandis is behind this, because at this point, she sees Zymandis behind everything.

Daenerys will be filled with some dark, dark thoughts while incarcerated. Her father infamously went mad while incarcerated, but she at least has wits to spare. She'll be discreetly asking questions and contacting anyone who might give her information she can't gain through pure observation. Expect her on your network posts. She's also willing to try and diffuse fights involving Audentes members before they happen, whatever that might mean. The rational part of her knows they need to keep their noses clean as they plot, even while the dragon part of her wants to burn literally every guard and the robots they employ.

If your character has reasonably good CR with her, they may learn an unsavory thing or two about her.

bruce's priorities are his idiot kids, but that won't stop him from getting involved in the fight and getting himself thrown into isolation. ( for anyone keeping track at home about why his idiot kids are the way they are…this is why. this right here. ) outside of isolation, he'll be keeping track of guard rotations, monitoring comings and goings, sketching out layout of the prison and exercising. that bulk doesn't come naturally, okay. muscles are like plants, they need watering.

stiles' kill count is a lovely something-below-five, and if asked he'll admit to it likely being from perdition's rest, those pesky deemers am i right... though those who know him well may notice he's lying, because he's definitely killed one person back home in self-defense and that's the one that bothers him far more than the deemers.

aside from that, he's rooming with giorno so expect panicked texts about where to find eyeliner just to shut mister mafia boss up (jk giogio he loves you. probably), trying to gather information about the prison so anyone wanting to plot escapes pls hit him up... also, despite him being fairly calm about the whole prison deal (mostly because it's kind of what he predicted would happen), he's definitely not sleeping very well so if he falls asleep when they're eating dinner please wake him up. oh, also, since his powers are still in place, he's willing to step in if there are fights that seem to escalate... the Big Fight he's using to snoop around though, instead of being anywhere near the fighting itself.

nami (ΔΔΔ)

nami is no stranger to prisons, though has never been in one quite this big, or one that was in space for that matter. she knows how the whole deal works, though, and tries to fashion lockpicks and gather other useful supplies, along with making a map of the prison according to whatever information she can gather from the other inmates. she's also rooming with olivia!

she's totally modifying her jumpsuit so that she ties the upper part around her waist and goes around in the bikini top she had underneath her dress in the gala, and more importantly, she also has jewelry that can be traded for cash for the requisitions booth...

as for her kill count, it's probably higher than people would expect, and she'll seem more than happy to not think of it much. because while she doesn't directly kill people as a rule, her actions have led to quite a few deaths along the years... something she's only now forced to really think about. and for someone who has always prided her morals as being better than those of normal pirates, well.

Loki

So Loki's got a big ol' "M" smack dab in the middle of his forehead, and he can't figure it out if it's from his current life (since, you know, he kinda blew up that angelic army) or if it's a culmination between his current life + his past life (because there were a lot of casualties there, whoops). It'll leave him in a state of dissonance, because really, the death that's super relevant is the one of his child self what the hell.

He's still got his shapeshifting abilities (snake, fox, etc.) so there will be some animal action happening as he tries to make himself scarce; he's also got his ability to create illusions (which he will do so as a distraction) and enchant objects. While all the shit hits the fan he'll be looking for a way out using what resources that he can muster, as well as keeping both Thor and Dany out of trouble because who in the Ten Realms lets them do things.

Who locks up someone for stealing something back, really.

UH, HONESTLY THIS ALL SEEMS A LITTLE SKETCHY TO HIM, SO HE'LL BE TRYING TO GATHER AS MUCH INFO AS HE CAN BEFORE THEY BUST OUT, ONE OF HIS FAVORITE THINGS.

Jumping late to the plotting. Genos got a ΔΔΔ for which he's in deep denial about. Because he never killed a human being, what are those lies?? So he'll probably come with few crazy theories or so. His arms got confiscated as well, on the account of being highly weaponized. But he's not literally disarmed, as he was provided with prosthetic limbs that are just that and nothing more. No flamethrowers, or blades from kitchen utensils. They're also cheapest, mass produced things, so they're not calibrated properly, and he does sometimes shatter a cup, or drop something he was trying to hold. Which, yes, puts him in a quite foul mood. But despite that, he clings to simple hope - Saitama[-sensei] is here, so they will find a way out eventually. They have the greatest asset known to man, etc, etc. Fanboyism can be used to keep spirits up. Even if he's in no form to fight, he will still try to interfere and help teammates he can spot, if they get in trouble.

Noctis

Sliding in here late, but Noctis will be sporting a handy dandy triple-x on his forehead thanks to murdering tons of MTs that drop over him every couple of steps or so, daemons made from humans, etc. Because of his armiger arsenal, he'd be able to keep his weapons and magic in use (and Prompto & Nyx by proxy). He'd also probably try and use one of his weapons on one of the guards and probably get himself swiftly booted to solitary confinement. But before that, he'll be rooming in a cell with Prompto and trying to think of a way to escape once he realizes they haven't cut him off from his powers.
