Hi, I'm Sam, and I needed a ninja to counterbalance my samurai.

So: I bring you Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; specifically, he's from the current comics run by IDW, which may be a little different from the cartoons of your youth (depending on when your youth was) but is an A++ ride and shit's gotten so real recently and just take this helpful diagram and consider reading it.

Leo himself isn't that different than most adaptations of this series, though: he's the responsible guy who makes plans, adheres to ~duty~, and gives his brothers frowny faces for not working with the plan and fulfilling their duty. Also a big nerd re: martial arts, loves training training training!!!, and does not understand RP but oh my god, does he try.

hi sam, i'm lena! i haven't read this new tmnt run but i spy a short circuit poster in that diagram and i loved that movie so much as a kid so CLEARLY THAT MEANS IT'S AMAZING. oh man but i loved tmnt in ~my youth~ so it's so exciting to see leonardo here! i can't wait to thread with him c:

I'm actually in a similar position re: Olivia, of being a longtime Fire Emblem nerd but not having played Awakening yet, so I am 500% down for making things happen. c:

oh no, i love feelings... if only i wasn't so broke. laughs, the comics life is such a painful one.

oh goodness, fe:a is actually my first and only fire emblem game (and one of my first vidyas, period, because i'm hideously noob at everything) but yes pls! she'll be in such awe of his leadership abilities and swordfighting skills...

comics life is hard, which usually keeps me from living it, haha. My only consolation here is that TMNT is thankfully pretty self-contained; every now and then I read a Marvel title or two but I can't even try to keep up with the universe as a whole.

Part of me wants to be like PLEASE PLAY THE OTHER FIRE EMBLEMS but tbh my favorite ones are the ones I feel like an asshole trying to rec, sob. where's my Thracia 776 remake with adjustable difficulty level, Nintendo.....

oh man that's the best though... i only dipped a toe into comicsland to get my hands on fraction's hawkeye (which i highly recommend, i personally just like to think it's in its own little nook in that universe) but everything else my eyes just cross...

lmdakldajs oh no! haha i'm such a vidya newbie, tbh. the only reason i caved for fe:a was because it went on sale and everyone kept telling me it was perfect for me because of all the shipping...................

I've been hearing good things about Hawkguy for ages. Maybe someday...my to-read/play/watch/etc list is so embarrassing at this point.

oh man i hear you... where is all the time (and money) to be able to put even a dent on my own list, sigh.

BUT HAWKGUY IS SO GOOD UGH. i could geek out about it but it'll be gross so i'll just. quietly tell you it's so good............

hi sam! i really enjoyed our test drive thread & seeing leonardo here makes my childhood come rushing back (in the good way).

I enjoyed that a lot too! Looking forward to expanding on it in game. \o/

Oh TMNT. Hi Sam! I'm Caprica and I just have this here magical girl - Sakura Kinomoto from Card Captor Sakura, but I do have some vague fond memories of the Turtles, even if I'm not as familiar with the newer stuff. But I did enjoy our thread on the tdm (I was Oz) and look forward to seeing him around.

Ah, thank you! Heh, yeah I love that creepy brat. Just debating if I want to reread proper and write up an app for him or go with a more recent adorable ray or sunshine from a new video game. But yes. Either way, we shall see how crazy things are next app round and for now I still have Sakura.

I hope things chill off next round, haha...was not expecting this round to be so intense.

No kidding. I was at work myself at the time but it sounds like it was pretty crazy. I guess we'll see how things go for next round though. I'm hopeful I'll manage to get in! Or if I'd be at work or something, ask if someone else could help me with it.

!!!! i am so excited about turtles. i didn't even have them in my childhood, idk what accounts for this excitement, but HERE I AM, ALL FOR THEM. i was super excited to see you on the TDM (even though i dropped that thread pretty fast because i got stupidly busy :'|) and EVEN MORE excited to see you make it in! i can't wait to tag you!! :D
