Hey guys! With Ramir's recent post in mind, I figured I'd throw something together for characters looking to be taught or teach fighty stuff. So here's an OOC planning thing for it! You don't have to have tagged the post to participate, you can assume your character found out there's lessons going on through word of mouth, or however else you like. And on a similar note, Ramir would be happy to play matchmaker and pair teachers with students if you're not sure how the connection might kick off, or you can also handwave that having taken place elsewise. Whatever works!

If you play a teacher, go ahead and use this form and post it in the teacher thread:
<b>Character name:</b> <b>Character journal:</b> <user name=journal> <b>Skills:</b> List any teachable combat skills your character has that they'd be willing to teach others! <b>Notes:</b> Here's the Anything Else section. Is your character going to be a hardass teacher, would they take some doing to be convinced to teach their skills? Would they demand payment from students? Any teachable non-combat skills to throw into the bargain? Any kind of personality they get along with really well, or clash with? Is there a maximum number of students you want them to take on? Anything you can think of that prospective student-players should know.

Once that's all filled out, go student/teacher shopping! And yes, you can totally sign up under both headers. Pick up new skills, grab CR you've been coveting for a while! I'm figuring teachers could have multiple students and students could have multiple teachers, just to spread the CR all around. You're also welcome to either plan out threads here, or just talk out and handwave how the lessons would go.

If we get to wrapping up one of our current threads, I'd love to do a little something with this! Elsewise we can handwave the first few training sessions, and like, do something with it while they're on mission? After all, I imagine training will continue even then.

This sounds like a good plan to me! I was thinking of adding in a prompt for anybody who wanted to start a regular training thing to the log I put up recently, since it seems impractical to toss up another log entirely, but we're already on the board there.

Haise'd definitely be the sort to try and construct a kiddy play-pen for squidges and take a little time for training since daily upkeep is important though.

Oh, perfect. >:D that's prime territory for squidge best-friending. Take them out of the playpen after training and have them wail about not getting to hang out with their squishy little friend.
