HELIOLOGY PLOT SIGN-UPS.
Yo Futurgooglies! As noted on this month's calendar, Rick is gonna spearhead a thing. See this post for deets. If you don't feel like your character would respond to that, feel free to handwave they got roped into it by friends.
Basic rundown:
Here is a handy sign-up box because I know u love filling things out and I am kind.

Basic rundown:
- Rick made a bunch of telescopes out of garbage that surprisingly actually work. (He is a genius, just don't think about it.) They are for observing the sun scientifically because magic explanations just don't cut it.
- The telescopes provided by Rick are wirelessly connected to his mini-computer for data collection. There's a small screen (think pager-sized) that will list found sun-related data for those who are astronomy-inclined.
- There is also an idiot-proof, handy light on the side of the telescope that will flash and beep if an anomaly is found.
- Important data will be distributed by me to players chosen via RNG, so make sure you indicate contact preferences in your sign-up comment. Data will be provided by our lovely mods!
- On 8 January, the sky will be clear enough for observation. There will be a mass log for this.
- Characters may choose the vantage point of their choice to set up their garbage telescopes. Climb a tree in the forest, scale the jail you just broke out of, take a chance and perch on the king's castle. Channel your inner Assassin's Creed and parkour wherever the hell you want.
- Team up or go solo! Have a fight over who gets the choicest observation space! Make it a date night watching the stars (just don't ignore the beeps). Escape the guards if you're the guy who climbed up the jail, what's wrong with you.
- Rick will announce the results at some point and it'll be real informative and cool.

An enthusiastic amateur astronomer shares his star chart. He points out the Warrior in the North, the Bear, the Life Tree, and the West Star... none of which are visible in the patterns seen through the telescopes. He gets excited when he thinks he spots the Jolly Monk, but it turns out it's just a crack in the telescope's glass.
