ALL RIGHT, so! Pursuant to all the lively discussion in Aizawa's post, I decided to ask the mods about the plan he (and others) discussed with Lissa. Specifically, I asked about getting a group of noble/royal types together so they could slide in and maybe get themselves an audience with Empress Nama. Apparently, interested royal types would be best served by having some proof of status--seals from home, emblems, whatever other marks of royal-ness you got. In addition to the disguise, of course.

Aizawa himself is, of course, not a noble; but he'll be glad (???) to clean himself up a bit and accompany someone as a silent manservant who does nothing outside of holding a lady's parasol or something. Mostly he just wants to help facilitate this idea because he finds it the most logical way forward, and putting together something like it was the primary goal of his own discussion. I figure there's room for one or two servants per royal-type who'd like to be in this group.

So, basically: if you're interested in the group, as either a royal or a servant, please let me know! I'd like to figure out a headcount and then submit that to the mods so that we can try to move forward with this idea c: If there's anything in particular your character would say/do/ask etc, that would be great to know as well.

lucina originally planned to go as a guard for lissa ( with zarya?? ) but then veronica decided to sign her up for princess duty instead. lbr she'd do whatever would be the most helpful to the team so!!

as a guard — given lissa's her aunt (in the future, please don't ask) she'd definitely know a lot about lissa to play the part well. otherwise she's got a legit looking sword and shit, i guess.

alternatively: lucina's actually a princess from a real country and she's got a mark on her left eye to prove she's special. she's got an entire story about dragon gods to prove her legitimacy too, i guess.

downside: she was with alucard when alucard killed the lady, whoops.

tl;dr lucina can do both put me wherever you need numbers, coach. either way she's going to do her best to play her part and get whatever needs to get done, so.

Cannot guarantee she won’t rage quit if prodded about being hella wrong, but-

Hayame said she’d help and she will. Mainly she will offer to tutor any royals signing up on medieval Japanese type manners and etiquette when dealing with nobility/those higher ranked than oneself. (She’s not a nice teacher but she’s a thorough one.)

She also really wants to go in a bodyguard capacity and oversee things from the sidelines, but if she’s alienates everyone else involved that might be right out.

Thrawn is a Grand Admiral— second hand and advisor to the Emperor himself— and has the very shiny military plaque to prove it, buuut would likely be looking to keep a lower profile during this meeting so as not to ruffle any feathers. His goal is only to low-key offer any advise and information for more viable Hathaway crew that are attending, which means he's totes cool w being nothing more than a servant.

A servant that might whisper every now and then super quietly.

Veronica is here to make sure people look the part, while also being a chatty noble from their court. A young noblewoman? Most likely. She grew up in upper society, but "upper society New York City" isn't like actual royalty. She is a quick learner and has been assigned to this task by Aizawa anyway so she's in. She's just not there to be a royal, but to be the right hand of a royal, basically.

Volunteering Majima as a servant -- he's not nobility, but his social graces are on damn point when he wants them to be, and his job is basically smoothing over interactions and seeming 100% deferential while he's at it.

If this group needs one more royal, Dany can pose as one! She is a queen in her home world anyway, and in an #extra move, she probably brought her three-headed dragon crown with her, just in case it would come in handy on this mission. She also brought the set of golden bangles she has. She has a very pretty, eloquent way of speaking, and could also pose as a noble, if we're overloaded on royals.
