WELCOME POST
Welcome, everyone, to Season 2 of Futurology! While we aren't officially opening our doors until the 15th of January, we'd still like you all to have time to get to chat and get to know each other, both new and old players. So here it is: our welcome post!
Think of this like a group OOC intro post -- feel free to introduce yourself and your characters here, and say hello to everyone else. Don't worry about being "late"; this post lasts for as long as acceptances continue to go out.
We'd like to take this moment to remind new players to get to know the game and familiarize themselves with the rules, FAQ, and welcome page. We'd also like them to make sure they've joined all the communities ( axiology, epidemiology, futurology, typology, and thirstology) and created an IC file in typology if they want to!
Finally, as a reminder, Futurology operates in UTC. Please keep this in mind when managing deadlines.
For those who are interested in plotting a little more in-depth, don't worry! The dossier with all the info will be out on the 10th, plus a CR Meme. For now, just sit back, relax, and have fun! We're so excited to have all our returning players back, and to meet our new players for the first time. |

So now I have to ask...what was the point of the soulnado, plot-wise? To just be metal/ridiculous as hell?

In Mortal Kombat (2011), Quan Chi used an incantation and opened up a Soulnado in a graveyard in Earthrealm to allow Shao Kahn to take all of Earth's souls. The ritual involved sacrificing a number of human soldiers. Its opening was witnessed by Cyber Sub-Zero and it was closed when Nightwolf threw Noob Saibot into it.
basically, evil wizards used souls as a magic murder battery. this is not even the dumbest plot-important thing to happen in mortal kombat. i swear to god it's just comics in the worst way, jin's even from the canon time travel continuity reboot.......
