WELCOME POST Welcome, everyone, to Season 2 of Futurology! While we aren't officially opening our doors until the 15th of January, we'd still like you all to have time to get to chat and get to know each other, both new and old players. So here it is: our welcome post! Think of this like a group OOC intro post -- feel free to introduce yourself and your characters here, and say hello to everyone else. Don't worry about being "late"; this post lasts for as long as acceptances continue to go out. We'd like to take this moment to remind new players to get to know the game and familiarize themselves with the rules, FAQ, and welcome page. We'd also like them to make sure they've joined all the communities (axiology, epidemiology, futurology, typology, and thirstology) and created an IC file in typology if they want to! Finally, as a reminder, Futurology operates in UTC. Please keep this in mind when managing deadlines. For those who are interested in plotting a little more in-depth, don't worry! The dossier with all the info will be out on the 10th, plus a CR Meme. For now, just sit back, relax, and have fun! We're so excited to have all our returning players back, and to meet our new players for the first time.

Hello, Futuro! I am Lena known as L from last season, crawling back to you with Daenerys Targaryen.



Pictured: Daenerys (and me) at the end of 2017. Don't worry, though; she hasn't yet burst out onto Westeros' scene and made everyone lock up their friends and livestock. She's actually from the book series that inspired HBO's little-known show about dragons and ice zombies, coming from the end of A Dance With Dragons. Because she's spent about a year and a half with ALASTAIR, though, she's a little worldlier and savvier than she was when she was plucked out of her timeline.

Because Bruiser is already such a huge part of her personality and would've been too easy a fit, I stuck her in something she'll actually find frustration in: Negotiator. You can read her incredibly abbreviated name and list of accomplishments here, because at the very least, she's good at selling herself well. She has with her her favorite dragon, Drogon, who will be coming with her when missions permit! Yes, she can ride him. No, he doesn't accept pats; he's a prickly teenage boy.

HI HI, this is Ashley super late to this and bringing back Wylan Van Eck from the Grishaverse/Six of Crows duology, YA novels about a gang of teenagers in magical 1800s Holland! The runaway merchling turned unlikely demo expert for one of Ketterdam's most notorious gangs, Wylan likes numbers, playing the flute, art, and, of course, blowing things up in complicated and spectacular ways! Also, he has a huge secret that is becoming less and less of a secret during his time in ALASTAIR where he learned a lot more about how to do the friendship thing. He's an Inventor and ALASTAIR veteran, and I'm super excited for season two and all the returning players and newbies, this is going to be great!!

Hello, Futurology, I hope you're prepared for an unforgettable luncheon. My name is Jeff, I'll be playing Amado Tsukayama, an Original Character. This is my first go around in futuro, and I am pretty darn excited because this place looks pretty cool and fun! Amado's story is, basically, he comes from an Earth where there's magic and monsters and alternate dimensions and stuff and unfortunately him and his girlfriend got stuck in one of those alternate dimensions, so, he's joining Hathaway so he can get home! He's an outwardly gruff guy but beneath his frowning and hilarious anime hair, he's a good guy who wants to do what he can to help people and to that effect, he's under the Sentinel specialization.
