Salutations, Futurologists!

I'm Pax, and somehow I've managed to worm Miles Upshur from the vidya game Outlast into your midst.

For the canon-blind, Outlast is a survival-horror game that involves a lot of parkour. I know the motto is "Run, Hide or Die", but there tends to be a heck of a lot of running. And dying. It's rough stuff. Miles is an investigative journalist who went to a creepy asylum to do his job and wound up involved in weird weaponized remote-viewing antics. It's got a lot of violent and gore-y themes, so to combat that, I've set up an OPT OUT POST, for those of you who simply would like to take a free pass on any mention of such themes.

Miles himself is an intrepid soul with a sailor's mouth. He's arriving at a canon point that is technically "post!game", but is also a bunch of handwave-y extrapolation because anyone who's experienced the game knows how ambiguous his fate was -- and with him, he's got a sentient nanocloud called "the Walrider" that knows nothing and can do nothing unto others but violence. Neat stuff, huh? I'll get a post up regarding his hitchhiking companion that you'll hopefully not see much of. Miles himself is plenty shaky from his experiences, and definitely looks like he's been put up in front of an active firing range aaaaaaand is basically the human personification of what happens if " ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ " and that one @dril tweet about walking backwards into hell with both middle fingers raised have children.

basically, mk is game of thrones but also a panfandom rp but like from the 90s so there's a lot of ninjas and robots and shit. freddy kreuger was there once. no one knows, i certainly don't know, it's a disaster, but boy is it fun

Hey Pax, and welcome to the game! I'm Leah and I'm not even going to lie, my experience of Outlast is solely "make jokes while your friends play but also keep casually glancing away from the screen so you don't scream out loud when stuff goes down", but based off that it's def gonna be fun to see how he gets along in the game environment, as well as (hopefully) fun to play! I just play the one walking cartoon disaster, Jasper from Steven Universe.

She can at least send her own ghost to distract the nano cloud, asks her ghost sit on it or smthin....

And Lapis is okay with this, just patiently listens to all the whining at 3am.

anyway she's got a REAL GREAT HISTORY with sensitivity towards trauma victims so I'm sure they'll be chilling immediately

there's a lot of nifty playthroughs on yt for outlast, if that's ever a route anybody wants to take but otherwise i try to write like ppl are canonblind because I'M NICE LIKE THAT. ~~i'm lying i'm a terror~~. and omg peter and miles might have a lot in common, they're both glued to their cameras............

I can't get into let's plays 99.99% of the time??? im the worst basically, because I would like to be able to watch them and I just can't 😭
