I don't mind! Giovanni looks more human but is probably less so than Darc, really. I'm always up for difficult CR (and Giovanni lends himself to that very well when he's not a child) so whatever you think you'd have more fun playing out! Talking skeletons would probably seem pretty freaky to kid!Giovanni so there's also that. Darc's a little more ready to just accept any weird thing he sees haha.
