Canon Update!
Hello lovelies! Serene has just come back from Zeta-12 one week late and six hundred days older, having paid a visit home. Do you know what the best thing about playing an OC is? Getting to write their canon to your own liking, which is why she's spent the last two years still possessing all her memories and her magical fire powers.
Here is a summary of her time away and the changes it's had, but the tl;dr version is that all the various inhabitants of ALASTAIR rocked her world in the worst way, leaving her both defensive of and asking many questions about her own culture. When she returned home she ran for her country's border, determined to find out more about her own world away from the cultural propaganda she'd been raised on. She got herself hired as the bodyguard of a travelling doctor from a far off land and has expanded her horizons immensely by travelling the continent. She's been humbled by crows, taught the importance of flexibility by a lizard and has been thoroughly schooled on war and magic by a tribe of oryx nomads.
She's come back with a deep tan, a more mature view on her own abilities and limitations, and with a new openness to learning about other cultures.
Translation plot note: Her language is similar to Persian, but her accent is so thick and odd that only someone fairly fluent would be able to pick out what she's saying.
