axiology | (no subject)

Hi, folks! I'm lyn, and I'm bringing in Koltira Deathweaver, of Warcraft (and very little fame, as he's a relatively minor NPC). He's a blood elf, which means he can sense/eat magic, and he's a death knight, which means he's undead and disgusting! He was born in a beautiful, magical realm of eternal autumn that was subsequently devastated by the Scourge army, then raised to serve mindlessly among their number (as the Scourge is wont to do). He did lots of bad things.

Koltira's a free man now, but he's still saddled with a nasty curse that makes him want to hurt other people on the regular. If he ignores these impulses for too long, he'll lose his mind and go into a blood-seeking hysteria. He does his level best to deny this curse, but it's the kind of thing that worsens exponentially over time. That definitely won't be a problem at all, I'm sure.

He has a big sword named Byfrost, glowy tattoos, and he's honestly not unhappy to be here--because when we last left him, he was being pierced with metal hooks and dragged into a portal for yet another round of brainwashing enslavement.

Aka, hello, Lyn, my name is Lofn and it's a pleasure! o7 Hawke here would find Koltira's story really, really familiar because it would remind her of one of her dear friends at home, so she'd be able to at least sympathise with whole blood-seeking bit. Maybe not agree with it, but she would be a lot more angry at others. She has a particular hatred of slavers and their ilk. The only kind of slaver she might like is a dead one tbh.

Ah lmao, fair enough, they definitely do grow on you! Tbh Fenris started out as one of my least favourite characters but now I have a special place in my heart for broody sad elves.

Though at least Koltira has matching eyebrows??

Well all elves are lovely, but the broody and the nice ones are always better than the stick-in-the-mud ones. Especially when they have maybe a tiny bit of mush in them? Gory or otherwise, I guess. And, yes, 'precious' is definitely one word for him/her. Though speaking of which she's happy to provide some magic for sustenance? Or whatever it is doing for him.

Just so. They make him look very distinguished.

His needs now are much more terrible than magic, sadly X[ but he still enjoys being around it! Reminds him of home.
