Hello, friends! My name's Lena (though as I understand it, there's already one here, so you can call me L), and I've only been on DWRP since June of last year. Is there a new person expiration date? It's probably when the smell fades ...

ANYWAY, I'm bringing you one avenging queen, Daenerys Targaryen, from the slow-moving books that spawned That Show With the Dragons!

Targaryens are famous for their greatness, their madness, and, oh, yes--their dragons! She's coming from just before her final chapter in A Dance With Dragons into the game with the one she's uniquely bonded to, Drogon, who has been very wisely shrunk by ALASTAIR to cat size. He'll still have the temperament of a large, predatory dragon, and will be very confused as to why he can't munch on horses and kids anymore.

For those not canon familiar, Dany's clawed her way out of poverty/obscurity using charisma, opportunism, trickery, and sheer grit. However, while she's a badass, she's also had zero formal training, and has made tons of fiery, bloody mistakes. Her hobbies include: flying on dragonback, freeing slaves en masse, avenging murdered innocents, conquering cities, and burning (people she judges to be) bad guys.

As far as CR goes, Dany will take all kinds. In the past, she's attracted grumpy old men, homicidal jerks, misfits, and oppressed classes who want a protector. She also has a soft spot for innocence. PM me at this account if you ever want to chat at length! ♥

Ahh, your brother has good taste. Dany is my favorite literary wrecking ball, bar none. She'll probably be kind of haughty at first because queen mode is something she can't easily turn off, but she's generally polite enough. Olivia should try talking to her after she's had something to eat and drink! She's been stranded in the grasslands for some time and is kind of wrecked.

but ah, dany no! :c olivia is the mothering type as well, so she'd definitely fuss over dany to make sure she feels right as rain again! and don't worry about the haughty attitude &madsh; olivia is a peasant/dancer, so she's used to being quite subservient.

She'll have some burns on her body, too. Basically, she's a mess with a dragon and a whip.

Welcome, Lena/L. It's exciting to see the new apps coming in now, and I'm sure everyone will be happy to help with any questions you might have. I'm Caprica, and I have this here jrpg protag, Sorey from Tales of Zestiria, who has dragons back home but they are. Kind of different plot/backstory wise so he might be a little wary on Drogon regardless of size.

But I also have the resident Magical Girl, Sakura Kinomoto from CLAMP's Cardcaptor Sakura manga series as well.

Hi, Caprica! :) Dany thinks he's smart to be wary. Drogon will be behaving like a firebreathing turd when he wakes up small, so everyone should probably just keep their distance for now anyway.

Some characters kind of do/need to. Yeah. I think most people are aware of GoT and it's general warnings by now though. I myself am up to date, book and show wise, so no worries there.

Please reassure him Drogon isn't actually a dragon as he knows them. Even if Drogon is still hella dangerous etc anyway.

Ah, Dany playing big sis to Sakura could be cute though. Learning/teaching about magic etc. Sorey himself isn't trouble, he's just...reckless and tends to end up in it regardless somehow of his intentions.

She'd be happy to set the record straight! Dragon story time was her favorite part of spending time with Viserys.

BE CAREFUL WITH MAGIC, SAKURA. She'll learn pretty quickly that not all magic is the grimdark kind from her world, though she'll still be wary. Dany would probably be relatively gentle with Sakura, especially because she misses Missandei already. :(

No worries! Book Dany is less prone to outward temper tantrums, more cautious, and more cunning than show Dany is. Her introspection is also full of LOL WHAT AM I DOING?? thoughts. But show Dany is way closer to her book counterpart than some of the other characters are, so you have the general picture for sure!

I play Evan, who will likely be endlessly curious about Daenerys's little dragon friend. Until Drogon bites him or something, and then he'll probably be a huffy little prick about it for a while.

Fire immunity, huh? Dany is going to be super stern on that front, but then again, she once tried to have Drogon put in chains for eating a kid. It's not something she really wants to see again, even if she's ... coming around to the point where she accepts that she will. Oops.

At the very least Drogon isn't at much risk of that here! He'd have to go to some serious effort to eat an entire kid. Be at it for days, probably.

Don't tempt him, Evan. He's super huffy over having to eat only rats and birds again, and he's basically a grumpy teenager in a small child's body.

ON THE OTHER HAND, he will probably be fascinating, if prickly.

On the other hand, he isn't nearly as immune to pointy little teeth as he is to fire.

I just read your info, oh my god oh my god. I wonder how they'll work out. Dany is certainly daring and prideful enough to attempt getting along with (and maybe learning from) a real, talking dragon. "Mostly negative"--that describes his experience and basically all of ASOIAF's experience; oops. But now that Drogon is travel-sized again, Dany's expecting people to come in droves to coo over the adorable death machine. He'll be trying to maintain his dignity in the face of being the size he was three years ago.

The show does some things well, IMO, and even improves upon certain characters, but Dany isn't one of them. She's such an introspective, introverted character that it just doesn't translate well to a script.

Yeah I was disappointed in some changes in the very first episode and that turned me off of it entirely. Dany's casting was pretty magnificent, though. <3_<3
