CALENDAR MARCH 1ST ★ Activity check for February begins. FEBRUARY ACTIVITY CHECK ENDS ON MARCH 5, 11:59 PM GMT. MARCH 3RD ★ TEAMBONDING TASKS. We hope everyone's had some time to settle in and recover from hell week, because there's still some housekeeping to do! Various tasks need to be completed around the castle grounds, and the recruits are just the people do it. Task sign-ups will remain open until slots are full excluding the Training Center, which will have teams posted when the log goes up. Not interested in signing in? This is also the opportunity to do any general castle exploration, catch up on some rest, and enjoy the freshly pressed uniforms. MARCH 19TH ★ NALAWI. A day's warning will be issued in advance, but recruits are expected to be up and ready on the 19th for their next mission: Nalawi. The ride there will be smooth, but the island nation is experiencing its own turbulence. Recruits will arrive just in time for a village to get swept up in the tides, but that's only the beginning of this world's problems. And for anyone who can't swim -- good luck. OOC information on the event and info pages will be available prior to the log. MARCH 26th ★ THE TIDE FALLS But on the bright side, the company is gracious. Even a crisis can’t stop the people of Nalawi from their traditional annual fishing contest. As guests, you’re welcome to participate in the contest... and the feast afterwards! This is an optional mini-event.

May they be employed on this mission, or is that a little too setting breaky?

At this time, the answer is uncertain and will depend on more specific plot factors. When Nalawi arrives, we'll be able to hand out more in-depth information, as well as give you a more definite answer.

SO!! Playing the performer of the century (and working with other players/characters interested in joining), but I was wondering about setting a ~*~talent showcase~*~ or other kind of fun activities as a tie-in for the fishing contest. Not everyone can swim or fish, but EVERYONE can enjoy MTT-sponsored music, dancing, and perhaps even a cooking contest!!

We're still working out the specifics, but just seems like a fun thing to get more people participating. Also morale boosts.

SPEAKING OF MORALE-BOOSTING! yeah so olivia has a strange in-game mechanic in fe:a that is essentially icly referred to as boosting the morale of the troops, where everytime she dances for a character, they get so "energized" that they are allowed a second turn in the battle. i was thinking if it were at all possible, something wonky can go wrong with this (+ the planet's magic??) that idk everyone who witnesses the performance gets high for a day or smth idk IDK just throwing out ideas!

but yes! i know mary has been wanting to arrange something through mtt, and olivia's been fiddling with the idea since chantes, so i think the showcase will still happen in some form or another! we just thought it might be a nice tie-in with the mini-event, so more people can participate. but only if it's feasible, of course!! otherwise, it can probably get worked into during one of the "downtime" days c:

That sounds fine! If you officially come up with a few ideas of what her dancing would cause, as well as how this would work, comment back so we can make sure it makes sense with the setting. We'll look it over and get back to you.

i think it kind of boils down to whether or not the magic in nalawi would affect and/or react to the magic or abilities of the alastair recruits? :O

*edit* if so! or if the magic of nalawi natives would have any sort of affect on olivia's abilities, a number of optional side-effects could happen to those who witness the dance:

• fluctuating/uncontrollable flux in their powers
• an extreme boost in morale that makes them almost manically happy/optimistic
• a fervent or overzealous work ethic or desire to be productive/do things

and they'd only be in effect for a short period of time, too!

All of those effects would be fine on PCs, though please note that there shouldn't be any effects on the Nalawi NPCs' powers, and in general her magic will be noticeably more effective on the recruits. Otherwise, sounds good!

Yes, wonderful!!

So. With the help of some locals and other characters, a wooden stage will be set up for the MTT-SPONSORED ANNUAL NALAWI FISHING TOURNAMENT!! It should be a close to the fishing, but given enough room so it won't be too crowded. There will be LIVE ACTS (like the singing, dancing, and Sans)!! MUSIC!! TALENT PORTIONS!! And, of course, reporting on the actual tournament. There was offers by some players to have their characters make flyers/invites, and god has Mettaton probably found a way to make a banner and confetti.

By god has he figured out how to make confetti. Probably out of flowers.
