EVENT WRITE-UP: NOVEMBER 21ST.

EVENT POST Hello, time travelers! All characters chosen from the sign-ups should have received an invitation from the Order of Chimera in their inboxes by now, inviting them to a meeting of the minds, so let’s get started! CHIMERA CLUB On the evening of November 21st, the Order of the Chimera will be holding a gathering in the heart of the woods featuring some ALASTAIR recruits as special guests. There they’ll find a small conglomeration, comprised mostly of what seems to be... ordinary townsfolk. However, mingling about makes it clear this is a guise: most of these people are half-bloods, living amongst humanity while hiding their part-goblin roots. And though they’ve operated with careful secrecy all their lives, it seems whoever’s speaking today has news worth gathering for. Some may recognize a man who introduces himself as Michel, accompanied by someone who appears to be his relation. It’s no other than the Suspicious Man™, who’ll reluctantly identify himself as Arthur if asked; it turns out the two are brothers, and Michel has been heading the operation. They’ll tell you it started as a small group of like-minded individuals turning to each other for support, but Michel’s disgust towards full-bloods and magical affinity turned it into something greater. The sun was only the beginning of his plan, and soon, it’ll be time for phase two. Despite what it says on the invitations, characters are allowed to bring guests if it would be IC for them to do so. NPC INTERACTION Some NPCs will be available to mingle with, but for the ease of spreading information and managing tag load, we suggest characters pair or group up when approaching them. This post will remain up to address OOC questions and planning. Also, please feel free to use this as a plotting post.

Good afternoon.

Would the conversation with the King have revealed anything about this group? Even just that the King recognized the chimera as a symbol?

And just to be clear: is there any recognition of ALASTAIR as an organization or do they just see the PCs as weird outsiders?

AND ANOTHER: if PCs do get caught, what sort of consequence/punishment can we expect? would it be different if they didn't break into the castle?

1. He would know what a chimera was, and what had happened with the symbol previously (at the festival) but not much more.
2. The royals know of ALASTAIR (if you'll recall, the king sent PCs a letter at the beginning of the mission!) but the general populace do not.
3. If you'll hang tight, we're actually discussing something related to that as I type! I'll reply to you with an answer when I can.

Whoa this getting interesting yay.

I guess if they are holding this in the woods I should ask! Would people potentially accidentally stumble upon it and he able to just sort of slip off back to their wanderings after taking a closer look or are there lookouts for the meeting ? Basically, not interested in actually crashing the meeting but it would make sense for them to notice and check it out in an otherwise pitch Black Forest. Once they noticed an ALASTAIR member they would just sneak away from spying but thought it should be double checked if Muneshige and Masamune would even be able to get that close.

And as a general question if they are asked by the ones invited how they managed the sun disappearance would they actually talk about how they did it? Since it seems they will be letting on that was their doing from the description if I read it right.

hello mods! the log says "there may be clues in their surroundings, tomes and trinkets left about various tree trunks in lieu of proper seating," would poking around come up with anything in particular that would be interesting, or is it mostly spooky cult set dressing?

Mostly spooky set dressing! It's a way for characters to note that it there's something supernatural involved before it's mentioned.

If your character has CR with Kida but no VIP invite, just let me know and we'll figure something out, either she can bring them as a guest OR they can follow her to the place (lbr she glows in the dark), whichever works.

Other than that, Kida surprisingly won't start shit..! She'll want to talk to NPCs, though. If anyone would like to buddy up for that, give me a shout!

So Pearl here had been chosen to go to the secret meeting. Due to her chaacter, she doesn't want to endanger anyone who has NOT been invited. She will be more incluned to go with anyone who has been invited.

I am open for some teamups with those of who have been invited! Pearl won't be very hostile to those who invited them. She'll be very curious as to why they were chosen and so on. TOTALLY OPEN TO ALL THINGS BRING IT.

levi is not invited, but is going to discreetly follow eren to the gathering. i'd love to get in on the npc mingling so if anyone wants to pair or group up, holla at me?? he won't be acting aggressive with any of them, just trying to dig up some explanations - so any relatively docile angle towards that is fine!

as for the escape, i could use a buddy to convince him to get out of dodge. just so that he's not inclined to go following after eren's dumb ass when that inevitably becomes a thing. but there's always that not working out and the resulting squabbling leading to Consequences, too. it's all good.
