Hello Futurology! I'm Yogi, and I'm brand new here. I'll be bringing in Atem from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series!

Atem will be joining from just before the Ceremonial Duel, so he has all his memories of being royalty, from both when he was pharaoh in Ancient Egypt as well as his reign as King of Games. For those who aren't familiar, he comes from a series all about playing card games really, really dramatically. Atem's a master of card games, board games, and pretty much any other tabletop game--he's actually pretty much undefeated. He does have a habit of finding trouble, or rather trouble has a habit of finding him, but he's also become rather skilled at finding his way out of it, whether it's winning a shadow game or stopping a villainous plot.

Oh wow!! Hi, Yogi! I was so excited to see an Atem apped in here! My plurk friends and I are experiencing a resurgence of Yugioh atm... I'm a big fan of the series and I still watch the abridged stuff. I also really need to finish reading the entire manga series of it I have stored somewhere.

Nice to meet you!! And ahhh, I always love to hear about Yugioh nostalgia and to help bring some to others, haha. My resurgence was mainly attributed to the new movie coming out soon! I've seen Fate/Zero, and Stay Night is actually up next in my list of "to watch."

And oh gosh, thank you, can't wait to start plotting some CR!

Oh no, is there another movie? So many movies... I'd definitely recommend watching F/SN (as long as it's the new anime, stay away from the other versions...); Rin is basically the slightly older version of that pigtailed brat in F/Z, just as you might expect.

This is so cool, it's been forever since I've seen an Atem! I used to be into yugimons, but the memory arc was always my favourite. Out of curiosity, do you prefer the manga or the anime?

Nice to meet you! Memory Arc is my favorite too, haha. I've read the manga and watched the anime in both languages, but personally the Japanese Anime is my favorite, though I do still love the manga. But thank you for the welcome!

Likewise! o7 Ah, tbh I have a slight preference for the manga and I think it comes from admiring just how dedicated Takahashi was towards the end despite his failing health. But, between you and me, I actually really liked the DOMA arc despite how many people seem to really passionately hate it. Like, I don't consider it to be technically filler, which seems to be a rather rare opinion.

Hi Yogi! Welcome to Futurology! I'm Caprica and I just have this here Magical Girl, Sakura Kinomoto from CLAMP's old but beloved manga series, Cardcaptor Sakura.

I recall bits and pieces from the anime forever ago when it first started airing but I never did outright sit down to watch through it or read the manga proper. Still, he's certainly going to be an interesting addition to ALASTAIR's recruits!
