GAME UPDATES Hello, Futuro! We have some small game updates to announce, as well as a sign-up for the final log of the season! Read on . . . SECOND CHARACTER APPS IN S2 We recently received a player contact that helped us rethink our previously announced policy regarding apping second characters right out the gate during Season 2. Originally, we had mentioned that players transferring from S1 to S2 would not be able to app new second characters until a few months in. This is because there would not be an opportunity to reach the proofs needed in order to app a second character. But now, we will be allowing transferring players the one-time opportunity to app a second character during the first round without the regularly needed extra proofs. Please note this applies to transferring players only; if you are not continuing with a S1 character into S2, you will only be able to app one character. We would also like to take this opportunity to reiterate that if you have any thoughts about any of our announcements or policies, please let us know! We are happy to compromise whenever we can, but we can't make changes without an opened dialogue. NOVEMBER ACTIVITY CHECK Because we are only requiring one proof for November, we will not be accepting strikes during November AC (December 1st–5th). If you cannot reach AC this month, you will need to drop and re-app in January. There will be no exceptions. PLOT SIGN-UP The final event log of the season is coming soon, and with it, the end of the ALASTAIR vs. Zymandis metaplot. This means we have a special opportunity for all of you: plot sign-ups! Although we will be selecting the winner through RNG, due to the importance of this final mission we will be prioritizing characters who have been especially involved in the metaplot, as well as our usual prioritization for new characters. We can't give you all the info -- we'll be contacting the sign-up winners with that! -- but we can tell you that there are two slots: a fight and a conversation. Your character may only be signed up for either the fight or the conversation slot, so chose carefully! (Guest characters may not sign up for a slot.) In addition to the sign-up, you may also submit questions to be directed to Zymandis's Leader, who will be encountered in this log. We will be handwaving the questions and answers in the log itself, so try to be as detailed as you can since there will be no opportunity for follow-ups!

just for a clarification — are the players who are on hiatus for november required to make AC as well, or does the "AC must be made" comment only apply to those who might be looking to take a strike?

If you're on hiatus for November, you're fine! We are just not accepting strikes this month, so if you're not on hiatus, you must make AC.

follow-up: I haven't taken a hiatus before. if I'm on hiatus for nov, do I still need to show up for the HMD / check in with it?

Ordinarily, if you are on hiatus you would need to check into the HMD either during that month's AC or the next. But because we aren't having AC for December, you're free to skip the HMD this time if you'll be unavailable!
