WE'RE TWO! Hi, Futurgooglies! We're so excited because today, October 1st, is Futurology's second birthday! We can't believe it's already been so long, but we can't wait for many more years traversing the multiverse with you guys in Season 2! We'd like to take a moment to thank all of you for being here with us for this anniversary, especially those of you who've been with us since the very beginning -- you guys are superstars and we couldn't be more thankful for your continued participation and enthusiasm, both of which keep us going. While it hasn't always turned out how we expected, we've loved seeing the outcomes of all our missions throughout the years, as well as watching the team grow and change. It's been a real blast watching you all contribute to the game in your own ways, and Futuro wouldn't be the game it is today if not for each and every one of you, so thank you for being here with us. :) As a way of ICly thanking you for your OOC presence in our game these past two years, every character will find a surprise in their room upon returning to Oska on October 15th: a beautiful, ornate tapestry laid carefully across their bed with an attached note, which reads As a reward for your continued hard work. — Cassie, Cherenkov, Crowley, Dagny, Uruz. The tapestry will somewhat resemble this: However, there will be a key difference -- each tapestry will be personalized, with the image in the middle being a representation of their home world. The border will consist of illustrated important moments of theirs from each mission they've been on so far. They can do whatever they wish with it, but like the uniforms, it will magically repair itself from tears and weather damage. Feel free to let us know what your character's tapestry would look like! And remember, characters' home rings from last year do change, so let us know if they look any different now than they did then!

Jin's home ring has changed: where before it was the Special Forces base and his team from home, it's now his room in Oska. The exceptions are this family heirloom and his best friend Takeda's headband resting on his bedside table... and the little penjing tree he got last Christmas grown to about this size and displayed in a corner, now blooming white gardenia flowers. His close CR, past and present, rotates through the room-- Chihiro sitting on his floor with a book, Giorno and Fugo bringing in tea, Miles scribbling a note in paper and leaving it on the desk, Zenyatta simply hovering in the middle of the room meditating-- but Asher Millstone remains constant, either interacting with whoever is in the room or talking to someone on his jewelcomm.

Jin's tapestry displays the heart of Earthrealm itself: the Jinsei chamber, the source of the whole world's energy.

The events along the edges are:

Arrival: Jin shooting Zenyatta (oops) alongside a much younger Jin trying to shoot a temporal insect

Perdition's Rest: that bar fight Jin and Asher got into, Zenyatta healing Jin as Asher looks on in concern, Gwen leaping into the abyss with Jin in her arms, and umm a body-horrifying Giorno growing some NPC's arm back as Jin and Miles look on disturbed

Woodhurst: Jin and various Audentes members shepherding NPCs to safety, Jin with Haise and Chihiro in a school full of infected, the gang mourning Patroclus, Jin and Fugo and Giorno trapped in the infected-filled mall

(there's also some cool action shots from his hiatus mission)

and i sucked at threading Leramzen and am still threading this current mission so there's some embarrassing Jins skulking through forest labyrinth hell and some cool mothership action Jins

I AM SO HYPE FOR THIS it's the perfect chance to both reflect and push forward with character development for Giovanni, thanks mods.

Giovanni's home ring has changed! It used to show the bare white walls chambers and halls of the facility where he was made, inhabted occasionally by his younger self, along with child Heine and Lily, and occasional flashes of Angelika (his creator).Now it shows his room in Oska-- while his room was bare and plain for a long time after his arrival, over time it has become filled with flowers, both those given to him as gifts by other members of the team, and those he's collected himself, so it's now very bright, vibrant, and very much living, compared to the bare and haunted austerity of the previous scene!

The tapestry shows the castle at Oska too! And around the edges are moments from his time with ALASTAIR that have meant a lot to him and have had a big impact on his development. I'm never going to remember them all and will no doubt miss some, but these are some of the significant scenes he'll be seeing!

✘ Haise and Giovanni fight! and then have Real Talk, which cements their friendship obviously.
✘ Overwhelmed by gifts both the ones he receives from Haise and the ones from ALASTAIR.

✘ Sonia, Lance, and Gio watch a horror film
✘ Olivia brings him more flowers
✘ Sonia, Haise, and Gio get takeaway
✘ Agrees to be Sonia's 'last resort' if they can't fine the cure, in Woodhurst.

✘ Sonia tells him she loves him enough to die for him and he tells her he'd do the same. DEEP FRIENDSHIP FEELS.

✘ Accepting that he will be staying with ALASTAIR/Audentes
✘ Forming a pack bond with Scott

Sans, Papyrus, Maya, Genos, and Zenyatta will no doubt feature in the tapestry too!!

All of this will help him realise that a lot has changed since he first arrived, and HOPEFULLY in combiniation with the latest mission, it'll help him let go of the past and realise that he WANTS to stay with ALASTAIR rather than just accepting it as his inevitable fate.
