Hi everyone! I'm Kat, and I'm jumping in on this newbie train. I'm bringing in Leo Valdez, a character from the wonderful book series Heroes of Olympus!! Those of you familiar with these books, yay! But those of you who aren't, you might be a little more familiar with the series that takes place before it, Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Or maybe even the movies but we don't talk about the movies. To sum it up: Leo is the son of the Greek god Hephaestus, has power over fire, and is super good with machines. He's also really loud and obnoxious, loves to have fun and joke around, and is actually more emotionally broken than he likes to let on.

I'm super excited to be here and I can't wait to play with everyone!! Oh, and feel free to add me on plurk!

Alas, I would only be able to talk about the movies, or rather one of the movies which I forget 90% of the details of because I watched it on an in-flight movie. So I probably wouldn't be able to talk about the movies at all and I might as well have said I'm canonblind. But I've only heard good things about the books, so hey, there's that!

Also Leo knows a guy named Nico so I'm really interested to see them interact just for this reason.

Luckily all I needed at the time was for things that weren't my stomach to be happening in front of me and it was the right amount of brainpower for that moment.

Suuuuuup, sup — never read the Heroes of Olympus or PJO series, unfortunately, but I'm constantly told to give the latter a shot. Leo wins for being the spawn of one of the coolest Greek myth gods, tbh, so looking forward to having him around!

You should give it a try!! Everything about it is wonderful and will cause you lots of pain. But totally worth it!
