EVENT PLOTTING: LABYRINTH II

LABYRINTH II As characters trudge deeper into the labyrinth, they'll be encountering monsters with more frequency, as well as a higher concentration of plants and water. The plants can be harvested for materials or fruit, but beware -- you never know what kind of allergic reaction you'll have to it! It's up to you how long you want the reactions to last, as well as the severity of the reactions. Nothing will be permanent, however! To defeat the lizard monsters, you'll probably want to group up into teams, or otherwise try to avoid them . . . if you can. As with the allergic reactions to the fruit, it's up to you how severe the venom's paralysis will last, as well as the severity. As the search for the next ring of the labyrinth continues, you may want to sign up for search results. NOTES Please use this post to plot for this event! If you have any questions about the labyrinth, you can direct them to the Leramzen dossier. You may also use that question thread to handwave conversations/interactions with NPC survivors. Death symbols are still present, and contact with anyone via magitek except for Audentes (and George) continues to be disabled. Questions about the game in general should be directed to the FAQ and you may submit mission ideas or player plots at any time.

SEARCH SUBMISSIONS

The maze is OOCly divided into twenty-two sections. For this log, you will have access to sections eight through fourteen.

You may only search one section per character. The sections do not have to be searched in order, and sections can be searched by multiple characters. If you searched in the previous log, you may search in this one too! Please note we will not be answering hypothetical questions about searches.

Section eleven is where characters will start, and searches here will involve a giant lake. If you search nine through fourteen, you may find anything from supplies to monsters to useless artifacts, or, if you're lucky, a way to the next ring of the maze.

Please do not sign up if you plan on being on hiatus for this log.

Following his recent brush with The Truth and Self-Loathing Melodrama, Mettaton has calmed down into a state of...... not being so outwardly obnoxious. Not like, to the point of acting sad and mopey, but he's quiet and more withdrawn, which, for Mettaton, may as well be a giant red flag.

Thankfully, since he's not spending all his energy on production numbers and has been thoroughly shamed into not being a piece of shit (right now), he's also more helpful!! There's a benefit to having a large robot that can laser away fauna and has no blood to induce paralysis (but he is metal and that will melt)!! If anyone wants to team up and ride on his shoulders like the metal dad you wish you had, hit me up!!

Also i want him to lose an arm. 8| I want to see his ARM.... OFF..........

i really do want another mtt thread tho for real. the poor man's been going through a lot. seems like the best time to unhelpfully swoop in and waste time not talking about each other's problems.

So due to a combination of pretty hectic life stuff and... more pretty hectic life stuff, I've been like totally absent this whole arc, but I want back in!

I've decided to handwave my absence via Sans just doing his Sans thing and being fairly uninvolved in the proper searching. He's a lot more focused on just keeping up his quiet vigil and not really involving himself beyond occasionally appearing to dispense dubious advice and then going back to sleep.

That said, if anyone wants dubious advice let me know and i'll have this potato of a skeleton roll in to give it. Maybe it'll even be good! It probably won't be good. Still, you guys all need to learn how to take a break.

Sans will also be searching section 13 (because lol), if anyone wants to thread that out!

WHAT A CRAZY RANDOM HAPPENSTANCE. Peridot's also searching 13, because it's her color, and I choose things entirely based on aesthetics. Time for her to continue to butt into the Undercast's lives.

2-for-1! Here we go!

GRAHAM is a great outdoorsman. He's your guy if you need help setting up camp or need help starting a fire. He also is a mean shot with his bow so he can help out in lizard hunting. He will be wandering around a bit as a wolf to scent the place out. And I also would love for him to get some body heat cuddles. Help a girl out.

PETER is a horrible outdoorsman. Some one help him before he sets himself on fire on accident. He's good for helping with lizards but might end up with a burn or two for being reckless. Established cr might be able to convince him into body heat or sleeping cuddles. He will be a hard sell but it's for the good of the team...!

I will probably do a multi-top level that includes prompts for both. I'm interested in search parties if anyone wants to do that together. Overall I'm trying to dip my toe back in after hiatus, so let me know if you want stuff or a personalized starter!

I'm going to be slower the next few week days since I have work/moving and all, but. I can at least get started on things with the new log over the weekend, so!

Sakura will have her cards back and all, obviously. So she'll be able to help with that/heal any physical injuries at least with her ALASTAIR healing. She has been taken camping by Graham before so sort of has ideas on all that? She'll be helping out where she can at least, getting more mild reactions from the fruit, lizard fun? I'll probably leave things open with those two prompts and camping, and people can wildcard if they want too.

URAHARA entered this whole situation with a exorbitant amount of what the fuuuck, but he knows the only way they're gonna get through this is by sticking together and taking this one step at a time. He's tried to cheat the maze with his Bankai and it didn't work, but he and Sieglinde got some bonding out of it, so that's put him in GREAT SPIRITS.

Not that anyone could tell he was in bad spirits, aside from the fact that he's been flitting about less. BUT THAT TIME IS OVER. He'll be doing more active contributing, and he'll be pretty effective against the lizards, though likely bemoaning the fact that there's no safe way to bottle their blood for testing, because that's so coool....

He'll be searching Section 9 if anyone wants to run into him.

PERIDOT is a little bit growly over George and the Zymandis agent hanging out, because in lieu of no one else to blame, she blames George for the mission failure, and she was already suspicious of WHY the Zymandis agent was there at the gala in the first place. She won't interfere with them, but she'll be making a lot of angry faces in their direction and making it very clear SHE IS WATCHING THEM.

Because the jungle is a bit more complicated terrain, she'll be pretty useless except for what tools (or swords- thanks Feferi) she can use her metal powers to manipulate. Most of her tactics re: the lizards will involve RUNNING THE HELL AWAY unless she's with someone who can actually take them. She is not equipped for this nonsense.

She'll be searching Section 13.

Dragon queen minus dragon alert! Daenerys received a pretty banged up right side and a twisted ankle in the crash, the latter of which has left her with a slight, lingering limp. She'll be sticking close to the group for protection and should probably get herself healed the rest of the way, but in the meantime, I'm going to say she's picked up a nice stick for support and/or minor weaponry. She's tied a small bundle of her belongings to the end and carries a small bow that Graham made her.

So far, the plans I have are chatting over food, hiking awkwardly, and makeshift patching people up from poison blood if she can. She can also share some of her rations! Her bandages are probably ... her prison uniform, so if that's their color, then feel free to volunteer your character!

Widowmaker will be a little more active here, since she spent most of the last bit of the maze kind of just...staying around behind the scenes and exploring. She'll be mostly in the trees and will be your best friend for making sure people aren't totally ambushed by lizards. (Thank you sniper training)

On that note she's more likely to retreat rather than engage unless she has no other choice. Other than that she'll stick with people if they need someone to watch their backs and will be open to helping gather water/food/what have you.

Other than that I have no...reaall concrete plans, so I'm open to pretty much anything.
