EVENT PLOTTING: LABYRINTH

ASTERION LABYRINTH THE MAZE The hijacked Asterion Prison has crashed into Asterion Labyrinth, which was coincidentally where their destination was in the first place. There is no apparent way to scale or tunnel through the high walls of the maze, so characters must now go deeper inside in order to find a way out: a supposed "emergency exit" located in the center. The labyrinth is made of stone with similar properties to that of the ship -- while nothing here dampens anyone's powers, the stone itself is invulnerable to any damage, and to prevent anyone from simply flying out or climbing over, there is a laser net stretching from wall to wall. The labyrinth is overgrown with moss and other climbing plants, and there are occasional pools and small waterfalls to be found. But where there's water, there must be life, and the labyrinth is no different: monsters live here, and the skeletons that can be found should make it pretty clear that whatever lives here is hungry. NOTES Please use this post to plot for this event! If you have any questions about the labyrinth, you can direct them to the Leramzen dossier. You may also use that question thread to handwave conversations/interactions with NPC survivors, including Cecily, George, and the blue-skinned Zymandis agent, as well as correctional officers and other inmates. Death symbols are still present, and contact with anyone via magitek except for Audentes (and George) continues to be disabled. Questions about the game in general should be directed to the FAQ and you may submit mission ideas or player plots at any time.

SEARCH SUBMISSIONS

The maze is OOCly divided into twenty-two sections. For this log, you will have access to sections one through seven. (Click map to enlarge.)

You may only search one section per character. The sections do not have to be searched in order, and sections can be searched by multiple characters. Please note we will not be answering hypothetical questions about searches.

Section one is where the crash is located, and searches there will result in scavenging items from the ship. If you search two through seven, you may find anything from supplies to monsters to useless artifacts, or, if you're lucky, a way to the next ring of the maze.

Search submissions must be placed by 8 July 23:59 UTC.

Keith will be concussed for the first little bit following landing, and will be dizzy and disoriented as a result. Being Keith, he's bound to fight against this, but some aid in helping him get around would be great. I'm also cool with him getting some healing, even if he's not one to ask for it.

His first goal will be to ensure that he gets his Voltron armor and bayard back (and if he gets there before Lance, to get both of their stuff).

Following that, Keith will want to find their way to another ship, or signs of another ship, so that they can once again try piloting and make their escape.

Scott, on the other hand, will take the landing roughly but will be fine because if he did get banged up, he'd still be fine. He'll be offering himself as a watch dog of sorts for helping people get through the maze. His heightened senses will be available to anyone, and he'd likely prefer to move as a group so that they can all benefit from what he has to offer at once.

Hayame and her spectacular prying-open-prison-door muscles will be a bit worse for wear after the crash, mainly because it probably sent her giant ass crashing all around the ship. With as delicate as they are in comparison to the rest of her, she's going to be dealing with a broken front leg. For her that's a huge deal, she won't be able to really stand at all so if there are any magic insta-healer types about? Centaur down on aisle 7!!

Assuming she can get that seen too in timely fashion her next priority will be retrieving her weapons. Once done, next is scouting and monster hunting so if you'd like to team up with her for that she won't be actively seeking out companionship as much beyond Ninurrta, but she won't refuse you if you look strong/capable. Let's go kill some monsters to clear the way for the smarties to figure out the escape route?

Sieglinde, having braced herself quite well will come out of the crash largely unscathed beyond bruising, so she'll get straight to work healing- let me know if you need wounds seen to!! Old fashioned medical expertise or insta-magic heals available. She has a lot of valuable looking stuff so I'll say another inmate stole some things, so if you can help her get it back, please?

She'll be most interested at first in trying to figure out if they can't disable or short circuit the laser net, so any scientific minds to theorize or flyers to help her test things with your body?

Fiona will be injured in the crash with a broken arm, so she will need help doing stuff while she's down to one useable hand. Get ready for some whining and bitching!

Regardless, she will be searching to the best of her abilities for supplies and routes through the maze. She'll have collected her elemental shield and elemental derringer from the crash, so she'll be helpful in fighting monsters. She has also collected her shotgun, which she super cannot wield with one arm, so if anyone would like to borrow it, let's do a team-up thread ✌️

PERIDOT REDEEMED HERSELF IN HER OWN EYES. ALL IS WELL. And since her discussion with Jojo she's not even gonna claim full credit and will happily share credit, even if there's probably a good chance that she and Damian butted heads and Peter had to mediate, JUST JUDGING BY THAT LEVEL OF PERSONALITY CLASH. Hoo boy.

Since she's extremely durable, she'll survive the crash without a scratch and will immediately set to work using her metal powers to move shrapnel and see what can be salvaged from the ship. She will probably not venture far from the wreckage, as she doesn't want to get lost in the labyrinth.


URAHARA feeling even more chirpy than usual, because AWWW LOOK AT US, WE DID A THING TOGETHER AND IT WORKED, will be salvaging Benihime from the wreckage (his fedora is dead, Jim) and probably spend a little bit of time meditating with her while she yells at him. This is just flavor stuff, so you know that you DEFINITELY saw him hanging out in a corner somewhere with his sword in his lap in a meditative trance.

Because he can't sit idle, he'll be doing as much exploring as he can (and also probably trying to figure out if there's any give to the stone or the netting). I'm thinking that since things are so desperate, he might try his Bankai and it will just spectacularly fail, but we're getting down to the wire where it would seem weird if he didn't try. He'll only do it in an area that's relatively free of people, so around section seven. So some lucky persons might get to see it, but not what it does.

Koltira will be ofc CRUSHING EVERYTHING IN HIS PATH; less as part of the plan and more because he is starving + desperate for his sword. His primary goal upon crashing will be to GET his sword, but!! if someone would like to experience some of the fun of being a death knight, they are free to notice Byfrost first. Byfrost has a crude intelligence that tries to compel people to pick it up when they are near it; lmk if you would wish to do so!!

Once he has Byfrost back, he'll be marginally more centered, but still ... not great. just set him at a monster and it'll be fine

McCree will cradle Peacekeeper in his arms, but aside from his bionic arm he is an Average man who will likely be pretty battered in the dust-up of the escape/crash. First aid would be appreciated ... elsewise he is good at keepin chill and being cool about their chances of getting the hell outta here.

SAITAMA won't be hurt in the crash 'coz Saitama. He is good at picking up heavy things to rescue people, catching people in mid fall to make sure they don't splat if needed, and all he does back home is fight monsters, so, yanno, if you need help with that sort of thing he's your guy.

Oh, and he's experienced with killing and cooking and eating monsters, so if anyone needs a hunter of gross delights, he's also your guy.

Otherwise, got no plans for him, hit me up if you want him to aid your character in anyway!

Feferi will sustain some assorted injuries and bleed her fancy pink blood, but she will also sustain a sprained ankle and have to low-fly if she wants to move around. But as a troll she's durable enough to withstand it, and she'll be more invested in helping to heal her teammates. She'll be searching the maze but will be more interested in finding any teammates who have gone off and still need help.

Undyne will but a little battered and bruised and will venture out for some exploration; her main focus will be moving heavy things out of the way and escorting anyone who might be better at the reconnaissance portion. She's strong but her toolkit doesn't lend itself super well to detective work.

She will also briefly be in possession of Byfrost so uh. She might try to. Hurt some people, which is a very Not Undyne Thing.

Widowmaker will come out of the crash a little battered up, mostly bruises and a couple of scrapes but nothing too serious. First priority will be collecting her Rifle and various other assorted equipment and after that it will be off to go explore the place and join everyone else in finding a way out. (with lots of sass in between)

Maya will probably need medical attention/healing and has limited means to defend herself from monsters, so if anyone wants to help a girl out, that would be rad!!

She's also available to help look for supplies/forage/explore, and, bonus, she'll be actually be semi-serious and quiet....er... for once, (things might be visibly getting to her just a little.....) so limited time offer!!! Enjoy it while it lasts!!

Also here to provide Totally Sound (no) Advice in case any part of the trial actually involves a courtroom...... you gotta prepare for the worst, guys.

lucina during the riot will be supporting people in anyway she can, especially once she gets her sword back!! time to get back at all the people that punched her in the previous riot >:c however, at some point she'll probably have a rough landing. so! some help/medical aid/etc would be v appreciated, even if she insists she's fine!! otherwise, once everyone she knows has been accounted for, she'll be focusing on exploring section 5 with aqua.

within the maze itself— now that she can reliably fight things again, she'll be very, very willing to tag-team monsters, protect defenseless parties, or go through survival 101 with people should they need it!! having falchion back means she'll be in a rather excellent mood, so that's also a thing.

Giovanni will have a bit of a rough landing and end up with a few broken bones, but thanks to instahealing he'll be fine after a few minutes. His no. 1 priority will be to retrieve his suit, sunglasses, and guns (in that order) before he heads off to search section 7 of the maze. His heightened senses make him a pretty good tracker, which should help him through the maze a little bit but also to find lost Audentes if need be! His instahealing and regeneration also mean he has less to fear from monsters, so if you need a meatshield or someone to save your ass, this is your guy. Thankfully he's more attached to the team than he used to be and so much more likely to offer assistance over indifference!

Genos comes out of the crash only a bit shaken - perks of titanium skull - and with few dents and a broken ankle and arm. The arm is a subject for a change, because he will go to retrieve his original arms from the ship as soon as possible.

Once that's done, and they're installed properly he'll join the search and scavenging efforts. If the monsters are flammable, he can always provide the flamethrowers, as means of protections! Although he's obviously slower and worse at dodging now that his foot doesn't work as it should, so he'll have to be more likely to fight with a team, than alone.

After few fails, or just being annoyed by being too slow, he'll look for someone with either engineering skills, or even just super glue, to help with the ankle.

stiles will come out of the crash relatively alright, mostly thanks to his shields — and some cuts and bruises aren't enough to hold him back from joining the searching & exploring. he knows Anakin left him an electrostaff on the ship so he'll go collect that first; later, he'll be trying to find people who might need some protection from any errant monsters, as well as explore the maze as much as he can.

meanwhile, nami will most likely be somewhat banged up after the rough landing, but will feel tons better after getting back her sorcery clima-tact! she won't be too excited about monsters, but will fight them if needed... mostly, her efforts will be focused on the maze itself, trying to find out if there's a specific way to navigate their way through it.

• lifting heavy things (to a point--the goddamn batman is still goddamn human)
• defending from monsters
• making his kid(s) unwind with animated movies when it comes to rest
• mapping out the maze on magitek
• hypocritically asserting that others rest while he stays up half the night
• pulling damian off the wall before he climbs too high and you could fall and you are not breaking your neck
• and much more

Loki is Loki, so the rough landing isn't going to affect him much. He's got his jacket back, his boots & his sword, so he's more or less a happy camper. Jail escapes are his thing, so despite the obvious destruction, he's going to be pretty happy. There will be quite a bit of time spent exploring. Loki doesn't technically need to sleep for a... uh, long time, and nor does he really need to eat for a while ... He'll be poking around section 7, feel free to join. He still has Gram, sword of truth, so there's that, too.

It's the first time they've had a little bit of a breather, he'll also be willing to talk about his little bounce into the mechanical room if anyone wants to get into some metaplot.

Since David Bowie isn't here he's got some shoes to fill.

Mettaton is going to be hanging out at the wreckage to scavenge and help anyone that's hurt (including prison staff and non-Audentes prisoners. What? He has a heart! and they might prove useful and easy to intimidate for information). He'll be fine after the crash, though maybe a little shaken up and sticking to his box-form to save on power after his lightshow. He's a little bit more determined to prove he's important to the team and a good person after being an enormous brat in the prison and 360 no-scoping some of his cr. Electrocuting the shit out some bitches helped, but now violence isn't going to solve much.

On the plus side: while nothing physical can go over the barrier, his projections still can. In the spirit of maintaining his usefulness, he's going to set up a marker in the beginning area so the other search-parties know which way they're headed. Like a compass north.

ALSO u kno damn well the first thing he did was get his glitter and gel pens back. Who wants to use them for marking paths?

Not long after crashing, Twisted Fate is going to try to get an idea of what they're looking at -- and be terribly disturbed at the fact that he can't use his magic to see beyond the walls or scout ahead effectively. As such, he'll be very reluctant to go exploring on his own, so he's open to having a partner. Otherwise, he will be (reluctantly) offering his healing powers to help folks out who are hurt or using his magic to give warmth if needed.

Meanwhile, Hanzo will be battling his temper post-crash. You can imagine how well that's working. He's going to drag Maya Fey with him for wacky adventures. It'll probably be hilarious. Or sad. Sadlarious. When he returns with some kills, he'll definitely do his best to cook for people, because that's kind of the only thing he can do without offending anyone.

Sakura will probably first and foremost set to healing those nearby who need it, probably trying to ignore or brush off her own minor injuries from the crash to find her cards.

Unfortunately, she won't be able to use Fly to just get up and scan the way through the maze from above for everyone. But she'll still be keen to explore!

(As a note here for plotting that I will be slower. Between work the next couple weeks and preparing to move at the end of the month.)

Noctis will be unlocking folks and freeing them from their cells then recovering after his stint in solitary, looking worse for the wear. Once on Asterion, he'll first get the hell out of the ugly orange clothes, collect his belongings, then start scouting the area and hunting and gathering. He'll be focused on getting food and anything that might be useful from the local bestiary. While exploring Section 6, he'll also set up a camp site with a nice fire and some grilled monster meat. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. Preferably someone with better cooking and survival skills than his sheltered self...

Prompto will be totally abuzz from his skills that he wasn't even sure were going to work and get them through this, help ...totally helped, yeah. He'll likely be trudging around with his bestie Prince Pillowbutt in Section 6 and ... lo and behold, his camera survived.

So anyone un fortunate enough to be in the same section and who met him at the party can totally come and have a look at his pictures. His camera has great battery life or something.

Now they might need memories before they die don't get found... you know, for record-keeping. Feel free to run into him once he's wandered away from his buddy and might get crept on by a beast that can eat his bony butt!
