GAME UPDATES Hello, Futuro! Due to some major events on the horizon, we have some housekeeping to address, as well as a few points regarding player feedback we've received recently. APPLICATIONS CLOSING | HIATUSES AND AC BANK | PLAYER CONTACT APPLICATIONS CLOSING For plot reasons, applications will be closed from June 18th to August 5th. Apps already in the queue will not be processed during this window. We'll be letting those in the queue know this shortly, and will provide updates should circumstances change. However, please don't expect any major adjustments to this timeframe! This is due to plot events and will not be waived. HIATUSES AND AC BANK Hiatus missions and AC bank rewards that would ICly be received from ALASTAIR will not be available between June 18th to August 20th. All hiatused characters will be assumed to be on auto-pilot. Players can still submit coins during this window, and use rewards bank to purchase items that might be relevant in the mission setting. This only affects ALASTAIR-granted items and abilities! Additionally, we'll be adding a new incentive to AC rewards! Players can now cash in their first thread with new CR for double the points. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to ask below! PLAYER CONTACT INFO We'll be updating our Taken page to require that all players have some form of Dreamwidth-based contact! This can be as simple as PMs enabled on a journal to an OOC contact post. Plurk and other platforms may be used as a primary means of communication, but all players should have some venue on Dreamwidth to be contacted through.

Hello, mods! I had a question about the AC bank update. Can you stack on finished thread bonuses to new CR threads? If so, how would we calculate it?

For example, let's say I finish a 10 comment thread with new CR. Would this be 25 coins (10x2 + 5) or 30 coins (10+5 x 2)?

Hello, Theresa! Thread completion bonuses can definitely be added onto new CR threads; in your example, it would be 25. In other words, only the coins for comments are doubled, not the completion bonus.

Mods! Does this bonus apply to every first thread with any character not previously submitted, (ie: I had threads with Character McCharacterface but never submitted my threads with them to AC bank, can I apply the bonus?) or just new characters going forward?

I'm wondering this too! I.E. if there will be any backfill or just new characters going forward... since I haven't really kept track of existing CR. I like this change I just want to make sure I submit it right!

Hi, Tess! We understand it's hard to keep track of incidental CR, so don't worry if you accidentally submit a thread with someone you've unknowingly threaded with before.

Hello, Sipp! The new character bonus should be toward characters you've never threaded with before, not just characters you haven't submitted to the AC bank. For example, you can only submit your thread with Character McCharacterface if it's brand-new CR.

Thank you, mods! One more question, can we claim threads with new characters retroactively, say, from April, or would you guys prefer to start from this month?

To make things easier on the mods, please only use threads you're submitting for this month going forward! So if you're backtagging something from April and are ready to submit, that's fine. But going back and collecting all your new CR threads from the past year will make us cry.
