Hello everyone! My name is Jess and I'm bringing you Verity Willis from Marvel Comics. She's a human lie detector and, ironically, Loki's BFF.

Verity has been seeing through everyone's BS literally since she was a tiny baby, so she is both incredibly literal minded (she never learned how to suspend disbelief) and pretty jaded. She is usually reasonable and pleasant with people until they start lying to her, when that happens she tends to lose patience pretty quickly. As such, I have a special info and permissions post about her abilities. Please check that out here so I don't step on any toes.

Other than the one super mundane superpower she is a fairly normal human woman, who deals with her issues through avoidance and drinking a lot of wine. She enjoys nerdy things like science, programming and math, and wishes she could enjoy fiction but her ability kind of screws her over in that regard.

Fellow lie detector, hello /o/!! I'm Tale and I play Anna here, a quiet stoic twelve year old girl who also detects and frowns on lies, but her makeshift family doesn't have any reason to lie to her, so she's grown up...well...?? But perhaps someday they can help interrogate people together...

HI I am excite to do things. I'm sorry I got distracted from the TDM before we threaded much, I got distracted by Thanksgiving and things, but I am looking forward to Verity and Dean interacting. Because yes, it should be hilarious. At least she's used to trainwrecks thanks to Loki.

I can't stop being amused at Loki being BFFs with a human lie detector. I don't know exactly how that goes, since I wasn't able to keep up with the tdm, but I know that I am here for watching how this works because it sounds amazing. My gosh, would it ever ruin fiction, though.

But yes, Verity's power is kind of life ruining. And Loki and Verity's friendship is hilariously ironic. Loki gets called on his shit a lot, though, it's great.

...man, everything from Verity's icons to her general outlook reminds me so much of Sandman's Thessaly, it's pretty surreal.

I never read more than bits and pieces of Sandman, but now I'm kind of intrigued.

Also, gosh, seeing Dio makes me nostalgic. I loved Last Exile but I haven't watched it in years. He was my favorite, though.
