team building, the ooc post!!

as you might have noticed, Jhin and Peter have made the promise to throw together a team-building event for all of Audentes to utilize and get a little closer! while icly this will happen tomorrow because i have been too gotdang busy to write up an event post this weekend, here is a quick plotting post for everyone to get wheels turning!

MEETING & GREETING.
First part of the event is a mixer of sorts, with food and drink (with more range than meat and milk) provided, and team members left to their own devices to talk and make merry. Introductions can be made, conversations can be had, and if that isn't helping characters to get to know each other, some cards with random suggestions will be at hand. This would be the time to make introductions and get to know each other a little better for the more rigorous team building to come!

TEAM EXERCISES.
After Audentes has mingled thoroughly, they'll move on to the team exercises. Some of them are pretty classic, like trust falls — though superpowered characters are welcome and expected to up the ante, because it wouldn't be fun if they didn't. There will also be logic puzzles, team-oriented games and activities, and general activities that enable and require cooperation. I'll have a list provided on the post, but feel free to make up your own activities, too!

CAPTURE THE FLAG.
Last but not least, the team will take advantage of all the team they've managed to build by testing their trust in the field! Peter will have one team and Jhin will take the other, and flags will be scattered through Terra Felis, and the team to secure all the flags first will win! To allow for as much flexibility with tagging as possible, characters can steal back their own flags as well as capture the opponents, so there's no need to track who has how many flags or worry about the count while tagging commences.

The rules are limited but are basically this:

#1. No excessive force. If anyone gets hurt, Peter especially will probably disqualify them. Jhin... we will see.
#2. Powers are allowed. The only exception to this rule is that it's not allowed to teleport the flags, they need to be captured by hand.
#3. Try not to disturb the natives. Nobody wants to go to jail for disturbing the kitty peace... though the flags are scattered all over and it might be easier said than done.
#4. Only one flag can be carried at a time. Again, this is to prevent anyone from just zipping and stealing them all and ending the game in one fell swoop.

SCAVENGER HUNT

For teams of two, each team can search for the below items. They will need to use their magitek to photograph the items that can't be taken with them. The team with the most items found will win a small prize! (All teams will win a prize, but the team with the most gets bragging rights. Prizes will be small trinkets sourced from throughout the city, and of little more than sentimental value. Many will be fish themed, which has very little to do with where they came from...)

PICNIC

For those who've had enough activity for one day but don't want to leave the team building festivities just yet, blankets have been set up in prime position to watch some of the Capture the Flag shenanigans. There are desserts, and little cards with flowery pink writing on them that read "My blanket has some extra space, come sit with me!"


We'll use RNG to decide who "wins", but obviously it's not about "winning", it's about growing as a team!!

Graham will definitely be going along! I think he'll be the one to get a top level, weirdly enough, and here is what I have planned for it!

he'll def be at the mixer, musing over the dumb questions that have been prepared and probably saying hello to friends. he's less invested in team building exercises but he'll try them... and I'm pretty sure people might have to catch Brother after he gets excited about the activity and tries it for himself. graham also loves puzzles and games so he could play chess or checkers with a teammate! and he will participate in the game of capture the flag, even though he's a normie. he'll probably be on defense more than offense, and try to make his teams flags hard to find. nobody ever said that was against the rules!!!

i think he'll get a top level and i'm game for anything w him, so let me know if you'd like to do stuff!!

this was peter's idea so he's got to go! expect him to be Entirely Into Team Building bc it's his project of the moment. he really loves his projects lately.

he will be at the mixer, avoiding meat and running introductions for Wanda, and anyone else who might like them! he will do his best to try and get to know his teammates better, since that's the whole idea, and he's finally being a bit more honest about who he is these days. he will also be at the team building exercises and this whole plot is based on me wanting to catch people in trust falls so someone better be willing to do that one. let spider-man catch you... and plz do not drop him when he trusts you to catch him. last but not least he'll be a part of the capture the flag, naturally. he is definitely more offensive than defensive and will not be authoritarian as much as he wants his team to talk strategy as a group. however if anyone seems to be abusing the rules he will call them out on it, so let me know if you want a spider lecture. i bet everyone would love one of those.

i would rather stick to tagging others with peter if i can get away with it, but i could do some closed starters too if it comes to it! again let me know if you're game for things!! ♥

Jhin's partially responsible for this, so he'll be around doing his best to actually learn who people are. He's still new enough that he'd like to have an idea of who his teammates are that he's technically not supposed to murder. He'll be participating in the team exercises, but will probably stay out of the trust falls. It's not that he doesn't trust any of you, but he just doesn't trust any of you.

Capture the flag is gonna be his thing. He'll be keeping his magic to a minimum, and focusing more on how his team would like to strategize, and what they can do. If people on Peter's team cheat and no one on his team does, he will be very disappointed in you all. If Peter's team doesn't cheat and his does, well that sounds like their problem. If both teams cheat, well that's just life.

Feferi will be helping out with the scavenger hunt and with the picnic, but before that she will be all over the mixer and the team building because that is absolutely her jam! She will also be found trying to rope others into these things, so anyone who needs an excuse to be there, she's your girl, and I will probably have a top level to that effect too. :')

Undyne is totally there for the food at the mixer, and she can probably be dragged into team building exercises, but honestly she's just here for capture the flag, she is not going to hold back at all. She will run, jump, and spear vault her way to victory if she has to.

If anyone wants to drag Arima...please do. He will at least do the mixer thing and maybe capture the flag, or the scavenger hunt...

It's just getting him to actual thing that will be difficult.
