EVENT PLOTTING: TERRA FELIS

A CAT-ASTROPHE Without warning, characters have been removed from Woodhurst via rift -- but instead of returning to the familiar surroundings of Oska, they'll find themselves somewhere entirely new. This is Terra Felis, which characters who have perused the magitek files will recognize as the homeworld of fellow recruits Cherenkov and Crowley. Terra Felis is a longtime ally of ALASTAIR, and serves as one of many planets that operates as a sanctuary in case Oska needs to shut its rift gates down for whatever reason. The locals don't have any idea why the gates have been shut down, but it's a rare enough occurrence that they're a little worried. Still, they are more than happy to host their allies until communication with Oska resumes. NEWBIES IMPORTANT: Incoming characters have not been to Oska this time, instead rifting directly from their home dimensions to Terra Felis. As such, they're at a slight disadvantage -- they won't have any idea what's going on! This is where veteran recruits come in . . . NETWORK: As the cats of Terra Felis are the originators of the magitek that ALASTAIR uses, newbies will be able to choose a jewelcomm if they wish, so you'll have network access right away. NOTES Please use this post to plot in the comments below! There will be only one log in Terra Felis, which will last for approximately three weeks both IC and OOC, but expect an NPC announcement near the end of their stay . . . BUDDY SIGN-UPS. Please note that since Oska is incommunicado, this is not an IC sign-up, nor is it an IC assignment; ICly, characters will simply stumble upon each other by happenstance. olivia will be a little worried about alastair and oska, but seeing as how there's really nothing she can do about it, will probably be keeping all that worry to herself. this will likely translate into a lot of stress baking. she is still feeling some of the after-effects of the vaccine, and thus will be a little more irritable than usual. apart from that, her pet lion saffron will be attempting to play with the cats (to varying degreees of success).as always, olivia's healing and empathy powers are available for those who might like them!

as for lance, you bet your bottom dollar that he's going to be taking full advantage of this time for some r&r. lance is the KING OF 'TREAT YO' SELF' so he'll be all over the spa and pampering stuff. catch him doing ANYTHING and EVERYTHING but don't talk to him about mission stuff because LALALA HE CAN'T HEAR YOU now is the time for peace okay okay. he will likely engage in some late night shenanigans (mostly "sneaking out" to hang out in various ways bc everything's 10x more fun when it's at night and "forbidden") and would love go invite others along for some good bonding moments/team building. this may also be helped along by the fact he's still suffering from insomnia thanks to the cure side effects, so if anyone would like to notice he's mostly dead on his feet, that'd be great. he has a sapient space mouse named bud who will be mildly wary of all the cats trying to figure out if he's food or not. ALSO!! lance loves finding out about different culures so he's definitely gonna fully immerse himself in terra felis, and likely talk some poor kitty's ear off just to find out all the things.
