It's just a matter of getting the anime as they release it in collections. Or, having the money for it. But we are making some progress at least. Chopper, Nami and Luffy remain my fave and prob out of those if I were to ever....make a journal. But yeah it is rather a long series which is part of why I often '...wait we are at episode number...what now?!' each time I look at the episode list at the back or on the menu of the dvds.

Sure! I know jrpgs take forever to get through too, haa. But I'm sure both are friendly enough that they would prob ally or bff at Ace pretty easily.

LMAO YEAH I tried to keep up with the anime and couldn't so I just... stuck to only watching certain arcs because it's just waaaaay too long. anyway Ace is p chill despite his propensity to be aflame from time to time so yes to allies/bffs!

I don't even know what is filler to skip that but so far from what I've seen it hasn't been too bad on that front at least. I just find it easier to binge-watch. I might eventually get to reading it depending on when we catch up or there abouts. I just don't know if it is one I'd buy manga wise on top of the anime.

Ah, in colour.....I am still tempted to get the coloured, larger volumes of Scott Pilgrim even if I already own it all in the original black and white. And I know a lot of manga are getting cheaper in omnibus. OP is just such an investment even with the anime. Maybe one day. I admit I do adore the va casting! (Even if I still laugh remembering Luffy also voices Riza Hawkeye....)
