Hey guys! Avali here, bringing in Finn (also known as FN-2187 or just "Big Deal") from Star Wars: the Force Awakens and its prequel novel: Before the Awakening. His canon point is after both, which means he's-- well, he's having a real bad time, and could use a little (or a lot) of help getting back on his not just figurative feet.

For those unfamiliar with Finn: he's a stormtrooper cadet, raised to fight, kill and capture on demand from birth, who got a little more than fed up with the way the bad guys were murdering innocent people. I've got a permissions post up here in case you'd like to opt-out of spoilers, interactions or just read more about his basic attributes. In general, though, he's just a good guy coming from a bad place, and the world outside of his carefully controlled former life is pretty damn crazy.

I am so glad I saw it opening night. Twice, even, again with boyfriend and his parents over Christmas. But yes, there's a choice between my two. Sakura Kinomoto, my resident Magical Girl from CLAMP's Cardcaptor Sakura, and this newbie. Sorey from Tales of Zestiria. Both are pretty much sunshine children full of hope and optimism etc. Definitely on the Light side. It's canon, for both, though Sorey's purity is reasonable given his canon as the Sherpherd etc.

Oh man, my knowledge of OUAT is so low it's shameful but Finn could definitely use a buddy that knows what it's like since...well, you know, most people back home don't.

... ha I know too much tbh, but short story is he is the huntsman, and instead of just running free he was the unwilling slave of the evil queen for a super long time, unable to refuse her orders. it was sad.

Honestly Finn is obviously starved for some sunshine and brightness in his life (looks at the First Order, looks away) so I'd be thrilled to have CR with either of them - give the guy a break for the first time ever that isn't just him in a coma. Also I totally used to watch CC Sakura when I was tiny so it's great to still see Sakura around. :)

But sob, this is true. Finn needs all the sunshine. And ha, you're not the only one. The anime was my intro to CCS and CLAMP, but I only initially caught the first Clow Card arc back when it originally aired the dub here, before I then years later found and read the manga.

finn is my absolute favorite you have absolutely no idea how excited i am. loki is well aware of running away and creating new starts as well as the discomfort of having to stay and "do what's right" (I AM USING THIS SO, SO, SO LOOSELY HERE), but he's trying to get "better" and be "better."
